Cleanliness and polite staff
Rooms all very basic, all of the group were allocated disabled rooms not that we requested them.
Showers set at a temperature that couldn’t be increased. Mattress very uncomfortable and uneven felt like you were going to fall off the edge of the bed.

Due to Storm Floris we had to find a last minute stay in Edinburgh - and Motel One was an excellent choice - it was pricey but it was central Edinburgh during the Festival. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was fresh and clean and everything we neeeded
Slightly noisy back streets as Edinburgh came alive at 6am, but not too bad

There was one lovely female staff member who greeted in arrival. Very approachable and tries to arrange an early check in.
No good air supply. Stuffy small rooms with tiny bathrooms, drains that smell of the sewers, for £250+ per night I expected so much more. Poor sleep due to the heat regardless of the (non functioning) air flow system. Asked for an iron and an ice bucket. Couldn’t carry everything, thankfully someone helped me, after I asked, although they were very quick to remind me there was no room service. Just poor!

Upon arrival (10:45am), Just thinking we could leave our luggage to go and explore, we were told our room was ready. Our room was cool, very spacious and incredibly clean. Although we didn’t spend a lot of time in the hotel we were most impressed. Breakfast was a welcome change from the boring cooked English breakfast and was enjoyed by myself and husband. I did notice a couple of reviews mention about some renovation work that was going on but this didn’t affect us at all. Finally…… the location was great, right opposite Waverley Station.

- Excellent location—close to the mall, as well as both the old and new town. It was very convenient, with most tourist attractions nearby. The property has a 24-hour bar lounge and round-the-clock security. The staff were friendly, and there’s a luggage storage area available for use before check-in and after check-out.
- a bit expensive, but to be fair, most accommodations in Edinburgh are.

The property was located in a central position, which was nice
There was a major room refurbishment happening with builders, plasterboard and paint roaming around in most of the rooms on my floor. Luckily after contacting senior management, the gave me a refund.
