Honestly, the audacity to even call this a three star hotel and charge £276 a night is disgraceful. Not once, not twice, three times we were unable to get into our room because the cards didn’t work. Reception brushed it off everytime with a “have you tried lifting the handle up, the doors are temperamental”. Not an offer to assist and come upstairs, not an apology, nothing but print another card and hope for the best.
Paying this much for a room which is advertised as having a window is an absolute joke when you’re just staring at a white wall… aka the other half of the hotel rooms on the inner circle. So dark and dingy with 0 natural sunlight coming in.
Advertised as being on Princes Street, but it’s a dingy side street entrance with 0 visibility onto the Main Street.
No wardrobe whatsoever so long stays would be an utter nightmare.
Don’t bother buying a drink to have in the room, there’s no fridge and honestly 0 storage so you’ll struggle. Tea/coffee station is an over sell when you’ve just made a tiny hatch which you have to close every time you go into the bathroom or else it bangs into the door. No proper mugs, just those disposable cardboard ones which is pretty bad for the environment too!
No bedside tables, so nothing to store anything on and the rooms are rather cramped (considering you need to also put your luggage and clothes somewhere).
Build another 15 mins into your shower time girls, the pressure is so low you might as well stand in the rain to wash out your conditioner.
Location perhaps, but honestly really not worth it with the rest.
