The room was extremely clean. Bathroom was modern and nice. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Excellent location, within walking distance of the train station, the Airlink 100 stop, and all the main attractions in the Old Town.
The hotel occupies an older building, and the rooms, beds, and bathrooms are all quite small. If you're visiting from North America, you may find the accommodations below the standard you're used to. The mattress was worn out and sloped noticeably, making for an uncomfortable night's sleep, and the pillows weren't much better.

Super central, a stones throw from the main shopping centre and train station. Staff were nice, we managed to check in early and had a lovely view of the Balmoral and Princes Street.
The air con didn't really cool down the room but we survived!

The location was excellent. It was within walking distance from everything. The room was very clean and the house keeping staff was very helpful.
We had a standard room at a price of £275 per night, there were some basic things missing which I think should be included in this price, viz an outside view (our room looked into a narrow inner shaft), an iron, a bottle of water, green tea bags... There was a fire alarm during our stay, and when we wanted to go to the emergency stairs, we couldn't find them easily as a fire escape plan wasn't displayed in the room or clearly sign posted.

Breakfast very nice, (it was included in my nightly rate)European and fresh served in dining area with views out to the city.
Fantastic location opposite Waverley station and close walking distance to all tourist attractions like the total mile/Edinburgh castle , Carlton Hill. Walkable to Dean Village.
Also close to Airlink bus to airport and trams to airport.
It was overpriced for a small room.
I booked a 16m2 room with city views, but my room was much smaller than that, but it was comfortable.
Coffee cups were reusable melamine cups at Aus$588/ night for the room. I would have expected proper China for that price.
Reception and lobby areas were very basic and flowed into the dining area, it was cramped when groups checked in/ out.
Maybe it’s the style of Motel One properties.
