Location right across from the train station
City was working outside the hotel and noise prevented you from getting any sleep. Should have reduced rate. Not worth the price we paid because no one in our group was able to sleep.

The staff were friendly and the location is excellent. It's within walking distance to Royal Mile, Old Town, Grassmarket and Edinburgh Castle.
The floor creaks a lot.

Great location, nice updates to the room and easy access in and out of the hotel which for sightseeing is very helpful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfortable and for Europe, thats saying a lot! It was also a single mattress queen bed!! (Not two micro twins shoved together like most over here. TV has more stations in German than English which was entertaining. Has breakfast but no lunch or other meals. Train station is extremely close as is cheap eats and bus access. Very close to the Royal Mile and castle is all walkable for most everyone.
A/C barely worked in our room (420) and NO fridge or microwave. (Very common for Europe & UK rooms to not have these fyi.). Carpets were stained and the body wash containers are cumbersome. Weak water pressure as well.

Location is perfect right across from the waverley station. Despite being on the princess street, no traffic noise came into the room. The bed was comfy with thick duvet and 2 different types of pillows per person. The bathroom was clean, and the shower had good pressure. We were allowed to check in a bit early and it was fast. Rooms were equipped with two different types of plugs to charge your devices.
Restaurant seemed to be serving only light snacks and room floors were all around carpet that didn't seem extremely clean, but I guess that's common in the UK instead of wooden/laminate flooring.
