Location is central to all the sites, great view if you get a castle view room. Staff fantastic, super friendly and very helpful. The hostess at the resturant was lovely as well on Friday morning (Sept 12).
Location also however makes it hard to get taxis as the street is lined with VERY busy bus stops and the tram. The room was small, we didnt have enough room for our two suitcases. Minimal amenities in the rooms, a mini fridge would have been helpful for our left overs, more useful than the ironing board that was too big for the room anyway.

The best part was the staff especially Archie who was so informative and accommodating. Views of the castle were phenomenal and so conveniently located near all touring sights and restaurants. Breakfast really good too.

We had a beautiful room with a balcony on the top floor. Stunning views of the city. Great to have tea and coffee making facilities, with Nesprsso pods. Lovely to sit on the balcony with coffee and biscuits and look at Edinburgh.

Perfectly positioned.
We were upgraded to room 568 I think and was superb with twin beds if you wanted. View to the Scott monument and castle.
Water every morning.
The breakfasts were smashing and plentiful. Anna is still there (which is a plus) and charges around her domain making sure everything runs properly.
The check in was fast and friendly.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The location is perfect — close to all the main attractions, restaurants, and public transport, which made getting around super convenient.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.
The room was clean, well-maintained, and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable, and I appreciated the little touches like complimentary water, toiletries, and fast Wi-Fi.
Overall, it was a great stay, and we would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit. Highly recommended!
