An ideal central location very close to the station with surely the best views of the Old Town and castle . All the delights of Edinburgh were within easily walkable distance . We had a lovely, modern bathroom , a balcony which despite the busy road below lifted us above the hustle and bustle . The room was lovely with comfortable chairs and patio furniture a good amount of space and a coffee machine . Breakfast was delicious- especially the fruit compote and haggis .
From start to finish the staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming and went out of their way to give us the perfect Edinburgh stay .
The lifts were a bit temperamental.

The central location. Room was clean and comfortable. Reception staff friendly.
No information on how to use key cards or shower etc. Toilet was tiny. Room had no view as portrayed in photos.

Smooth check in and out. Helpful pleasant staff, Craig a fountain of knowledge on our first morning, filling us in about the history and sights of Edinburgh, food excellent and plentiful. Location fantastic, within walking distance of everything. Fantastic view from the breakfast room each morning of Edinburgh Castle. Would stay again.
Unusual that reception was not on the entrance from the street it was the next floor up. Hotel from the outside covered under renovations or construction?? Fan going constantly outside our bedroom window, would have loved a room with a view of Edinburgh Castle.

Position of hotel and view from our room with balcony.
Not really a massive dislike however tea coffee facilities, didn't have any biscuits. Have never been in a hotel that never offered a biscuits with your coffee. Only enough coffee/milk for one coffee each.
Also 2 chairs rather than 1 would have been good to relax

Very convenient location on Princes Street. Really friendly and very helpful staff. Clean, tidy & functional room.
Nothing really….I struggled wit the plug in the sink, the air con took a while to puzzle out but these were minor issues that really didn’t impact on my stay.

Location is outstanding! Ask for a Princes Street facing room and then you have a view of the old city skyline (The Royal Mile) and the Edinburgh Castle. The staff was very kind and was a massive emotional support after I was pickpocketed on Princes St on way from the Waverly station to the hotel. Sree at the reception was fantastic as she patiently explained to us how tonget around the city and all the good places to eat and drink!
