Lovely location, grounds and room. Excellent cooked breakfast choice. Dinner somewhat dull.
Diners with dogs are segregated to an inferior location which spoils the experience. It’s not acceptable.

The staff is amazing, especially Greek lady from reception. We had some issues with our booking (mistake of the booking.com who booked for us 4 different rooms for our stays, so we would be supposed to move from one to other room basically after every night). But the receptionist solved this problem straight away and just upgraded us higher category room.
They also prepared a take away breakfast for us, when we are not able to attend one, because we were leaving too early.
Interior is really cool, proper Scottish vibes :)
- there was no hot water in the room one of the mornings, but the staff solved this problem quite fast
- the waiting time at breakfast was a bit too long

Breakfast was very good. I do think that more breakfast options could have been provided. The pastries did not seem as fresh as they should or could have been. The property should also offer scones.

Room nice, bed comfortable, bathroom good. Good location, nice surroundings.
Restaurant for dinner in the dungeon, unappealing and claustrophobic. Dark green walls and low ceilings. Breakfast room much nicer. Food for dinner poor , small portions and the same applies for breakfast . Full Scottish? One of everything.

The jr suite was an awkward layout and the furniture was uncomfortable! Very disappointed- it wasn't a good castle stay experience

Beautiful hotel and surroundings . Our room was stunning with a four poster bed . Modern bathroom , great shower and hot water . Breakfast and evening meal excellent !
Everything was perfect ! One niggle they mentioned chocolates in our room . None were there . Such a small thing though .

Characterful hotel in pleasant grounds. No Fitness facilities
Rooms and public areas a bit tired. "Gravel" Car Park is more mud than gravel. Buffet breakfast a bit limited
