The grounds on the side & in the back were nicely kept. Made looking outside pleasant enough. Downer: The gravel parking lot, right in front, was a bit off-putting. It takes away from the "I'm staying in a CASTLE!" Intrigue.
Comment above about parking. It would be so much more inviting & interesting to have lovely landscaped grounds. Maybe even a fountain. It just felt like something was missing.

A marvellous castle with beautiful decoration and rooms. My room had two floors and was lovely. Very historic. Best part of the hotel is away from the city.
Just the smell of the place as you can tell is old but is okay, part of the experience.

Beautiful grounds and great atmosphere. I had dinner and breakfast there, both were excellent. So much history connected to the castle. Went for a lovely long walk in the morning. Staff were so accommodating.
No negatives that i found, everything was on point for me

I loved the attention to detail in the rooms. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The food from the restaurant was one of the best meals my husband and I had during our trip.The overall experience was excellent.

A beautifully appointed castle, well-maintained and managed. There is definitely pride in ownership here and it is apparent throughout. Our dinner was superb with excellent service and breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Our room was tastefully decorated, comfortable, clean and quiet. We wished we could stay longer and would love to return one day.
