The interior of the castle is as magnificent as the exterior. Walking through the front door in a cold day to greeted by a roaring fire place then welcomed by the friendliest staff on reception especially as we had our dog which can be an issue is some hotels . The room was fantastic very comfortable but the highlight for us for the grounds surrounding the hotel we spent the day walking around and even a day was not enough this is a 10/10 venue we are looking forward to our return.

What a great location and property! I loved that we were a bit away from the city but close enough to head over to Edinburgh. Also, within about 10 minutes was a really nice shopping center with M & S and Lush! The room was lovely and quiet. The man that checked us in was lovely.
None of the USB plugs worked (but the regular plugs did) That was really the only downfall for us.

Beautiful, stunning hotel. Wonderful grounds to walk around and it was authentic and charming.

4 poster bed was lovely. Seats fit for a king and queen, the room was of a very good size. Wardrobes were a decent size, enough for 2 people and an ironing board, iron and hairdryer in room. We were in the Superior King room and the decor was beautiful.
Bathroom needs attention. For almost £500.00 per night, the wood panels and mastic were a little weathered. Broken parts were simply painted over.
Bar area was cold. It was snowing yet no fire was lit and staff refused saying it was warm enough in their opinion.

Location was very good and quiet, an impressive building full of character, room was clean and well serviced
Room was very claustrophobic without a lot of daylight and lacked any comfortable chairs, facilities for making drinks was inadequate and the wardrobe was too small if staying for longer than 3 nights
