Clean, tidy and comfortable
There was no shower cap.
In the morning we made a several calls to the reception. But, no answer for half an hour and my partner walked down in person

This was an absolutely beautiful property! We enjoyed the quiet and the staff was very friendly and helpful! They offered great suggestions for activities to do around the area as well. We were very pleased!

We loved the castle and surrounding property. Loved the babbling brook, saw many dogs walking in the area. Loved seeing the horses. Excellent experience, highly recommend. Staff were terrific. Only about 20 min (depending on traffic) from the airport so a great choice for the last night stay when heading to the airport.

Wonderful, knowledgeable staff. The dinner was gourmet - made to order - and absolutely the most delicious meal I have had in a long time. The breakfast was also delicious, healthy, and diverse.

This was just a perfetct stay. we booked for one night and just one hour after the arrival we booked for another night. I would drive again 7 hours from London just to stay another night at the Melville castle.
The staff is amazing, everyone is very kind and ready to help for any needs. The quality of the food and drinks is over the top.
the place is immerse in the nature and the experience of the stay feels just like magic.
If you are in Edinburgh or planning a weekend out, do not miss the chance of visiting this place and spend at least a night there, you will not regret and you will never want to leave.

The castle was absolutely beautiful and the suite we stayed in was wonderful, with plenty of space for our family. The staff was all very kind and helpful. We also ate at the restaurant in the hotel, and the food was delicious.
The rooms were very warm, and the windows only opened a couple inches. There was only one fan, and it would have been nice to have a fan in each sleeping area.
