Hotel with character in renovated docklands area. We had a suite with lots of room. Had a bath and separate shower. Convenient for the tram into Edinburgh. Lots of bars & restaurants.

Very very clean hotel, restaurant downstairs, close to grocery stores and transit lines. Right alongside the water. Was a very comfortable room, hotel had a fan, elevator and a door that opened to let air in. Incredible stay wish I could have stayed longer. Will keep this hotel in mind for my next trip

They tried to give me a 'complimentary upgrade' which they wanted to then charge me for. Very poor practice from what used to be a very good hotel.
The place needs a good clean and some areas need refurbished. Garish posters advertising food have no place in this sort of hotel, at this price.

This was not in the central location of Edinburgh and nowhere on booking.com was a note to that effect. I had stayed at the other centrally location Malmaison previously and didn’t realise there are 2. Major fail for the logistics of the my trip

Our room was the other side of the hotel and it was not clean and we could not open the window because we found 2 big spider in the room.

All staff were friendly, efficient and always willing to help and advise. Bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well. Can't comment on the food as we neither had breakfast nor used the restaurant. On the days of our stay Sunday and Monday there was always ample parking. Tram stop (Port of Leith) just around the corner was very handy for getting to Edinburgh centre.

The room was very modern and spacious, and it had all the possible facilities you can imagine. The staff at the reception were very welcoming and warm. We will definitely book Malmmaison again.
