We had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size for two people sharing. We enjoyed a good dinner in the hotel restaurant. The spa and pool were a real bonus, easy to book treatments and pampers too. Being able to relax with family in the lounge in front of the fire was a bonus. I would book to stay here again.

I'm very sorry to have to rate the Edinburgh Marriott Holyrood so low. I had a lovely stay there until my last day there on January 5, 2026, when a personal item went missing from my room (room 622). This was a brand new wool sweater, purchased that same morning in the old Edinburgh, still wrapped up in its shopping bag, that disappeared the same afternoon housekeeping came by to clean my room. I reported this to the staff at front desk that evening, as well as the next morning, and was told an investigation would be opened. I have since followed up on the investigation by email twice, and received no response. This is an extremely violating and upsetting experience for any guest to go through, and I hope the staff takes this review seriously since they have decided to ignore my follow-up emails.

Every thing the hotle waa so beautiful very clear to high standards a couldnt believe how beautiful y clean it was and the food was delicious and the pool area wow Thats waa the best part realy enjoyed relaxing and so quiet staff where amazing so friendly so Al be bk again with my wee girl to enjoy the pool thank u had a great sleep also bed waa so cosy i didnt want to leave see u again soon 10/10 ????❤️

This hotel was fabulous. Clean well stocked. The pillows were so comfortable. The staff was above helpful and attentive. Beautiful Hotel!

The hotel was excellent. Having spa access was great. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was quiet yet close to the Royal Mile and Parliament Holyrood Park etc. Relaxing in front of the fire in the lounge was a bonus.
We had room service quite late one of the days when we were wanting to change and get ready for the evening. We went with the flow and adapted our plans. The staff were quite happy to have come back later though.

It’s located on the edge of the center which I like so the nights will be quiet and it won’t be too long to walk to the main attractions
The toilet sink has 2 different valves one is too hot and the other one is too cold, I think it’s better to put one that combine both, also the breakfast could have more choices
