Location is very central on a parallel street to the Royal Mile and round the corner from the Holyrood Palace. We had a spacious room with a king size bed and an extra sofa bed overlooking the side street and a school, kids' chattering as a nice wake-up service. Fair choice at breakfast to eat diverse a few days in a row. We also appreciated the pool.
I looked for a hotel with parking and appreciated the fact I was able to get a place, despite all the quest to handle the code lock and to park in the narrow space.

The location was quiet. A convenience store was located one block away which was handy for popping out for snacks. The room was clean and comfortable.
The neighborhood did not have many restaurants close by as it is next to a university campus. Every day we had a long walk to get to the sites. I should have kept in mind how hilly the city is, I typically don't mind walking.

Very well laid out. Nice lobby. But the dinner was not good.
The property was fine. A bit far from Princes Streey but walking distance to Holyrood and Parliament.

Staff at reception gave a lovely greeting. The hotel location, swimming pool, and our allocated room were excellent.
M lounge let the hotel down. Staff not present had to search for assistance several times as the basics, cutlery, milk, etc., missing , and tables needed clearing and cleaning before you could sit and eat.

The hotel is excellent but collect your receipts.
When I was checking out the employee at the reception said that 1 of 3 breakfasts hadn’t been paid by me. But it had been paid ofc, but she behaved as if I’m a liar.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel was in a good location and the room was a decent size.
It was very expensive (I guess because of the August fringe festival) for a hotel that wasn't quite up to the usual overall Marriott standards.
