Very convenient location, close to all major attractions and the train station. Service is very good, restaurant offers tasty food and breakfast, as you can expect the quality from a Marriott hotel!

Super convenient location, walking to major attractions and train station! Service and restaurant on site as good as you can expect in a Marriott Hotel!! Breakfast has lots of options!
The room is a bit small and the one we stayed is on the ground floor, twin beds room all on the ground floor. I believe higher floor units will have a very good view.

Quiet location right by Holyrood Palace and not a long walk from the Castle. We had a junior suite that was massive and well equipped. The club lounge was peaceful and the staff there were amazing as were the restaurant staff.
Housekeeping was a bit off and didn't wipe down tables or replenish coffee, but it could be due to 100% occupancy given the Fringe and Tattoo being on

Very friendly, professional and helpful staff. Enjoyed the pool and sauna. Lovely clean room and very comfortable bed. Lots of choice for breakfast.

The hotel was good, clean, easy to find and in a great location.
The staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful.
Breakfast was very good with lots of choice available.
The price! Everything else was very good and I understand that Edinburgh is always busy at this time of year due to the festival. We were there for the concert at Murrayfield. However, in my mind, there will never be a time when a basic hotel room is worth £435 for 1 night - even if there's nothing else available within reasonable distance of the city centre.

Overall, the hotel is good.
The food was horrible in the restaurant and an Indian girl waitress of the restaurant was really rude too.

Everything was modern and clean. The breakfast was good.
There was virtually nowhere to store clothes. One hanging rail and one and a half drawers were all that was available.

The room is well-appointed and in good condition. Breakfast is convenient and well-staffed. The food is very good. The location was perfect for our needs. Quiet.
For some reason, housekeeping didn't want to give us two washcloths. We had them the first day, then not the second. I asked for a second and received it only for it to disappear the next day. If you have two bath towels, two hand towels, why can't you have two washcloths?

Quiet location in Holyrood area... next to the Royal Mile. Big and clean room with comfy bed and a good variety of teas and coffee, as well as bottled water every day. Helpful staff. Enough choices for breakfast, including a la carte.
Expensive due to the Fringe festival during August and the other events taking place. Lack of bathroom amenities like almost everywhere in Scotland. Air con set at low temp. so had to be turned off.
