Location
Husband had to park the car. I came in with 2 bags and 2 overnight bags which I had to make two trips up to the room. Not one staff asked if I would like a hand or even hold a door open

The area was quieter, but still close enough to walk to most of the city's attractions. We appreciated the small fridge and good a/c.
The walls and carpet showed signs of age; dents, scratches, missing paint, some stains. The a la carte breakfast was not great. I got a waffle from a package for 15 pounds.

The rooms were spacious and set up very well. We stayed for numerous days, and it felt like a great place to retreat at the end of the day! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. They had all of the amenities I would expect in a nice hotel. The breakfast was incredible every day. All of the staff at all levels did a great job. They were very friendly and helpful for all of our needs! This was first visit to Scotland, I would say this location is outstanding, and we will go back to this location if we visit there again!
There is not anything we could think of that we did not like. It was a great facility to stay at!

Size of room, nice bathroom, staff were friendly, late default check out.
Pillows very bad until requested to be changed. Heating/air con didn't work. Pool/ 'spa' facilities not what was advertised. Visited the pool on 3 occasions, late and early, and kids were playing/messing which is not a problem but doesn't match th description of an exclusive spa area.

The staff were incredibly nice. Also it was a fantastic location very close to the Holyrood place and a short walk to the Edinburgh castle. This property sits one short block below the royal mile. So it’s in the heart of everything you want to see.
Our stay was fantastic and would definitely come back when coming to Edinburgh.
