I liked the room, the accommodation staff and the staff generally.
I didn't like the breakfast. The fried eggs were hard fried or too long in the bain marie, and the mushrooms were not cooked properly. Out of the 3 coffee machines, there was only 1 working properly. This happened 3 mornings running. I am a manager in a hotel in the west of Ireland and this would be unacceptable there. But the staff were very good.

Location - convenient for central Edinburgh; quiet
Very high cost for modest room. I asked for sofa to be made up for our arrival and it was not; staff on Reception were unfriendly. I paid for late check-out the night before we were due to leave; on checking out the following day, I was asked to pay again, and to produce my receipt for proof of pre-payment. Overall, a low-grade experience that did not reflect the inflated cost. I will not stay there again.

Excellent location, friendly staff, clean room.
The bathroom door was squeaking forcing us to keep it open through the night. And I thought it was a bit overpriced but overall it offered a rather comfortable stay. Would recommend it.

Room and bathroom were small - note there were three of us sharing one room though. The shower pressure was very low.

Great location for this hotel with everything within walking distance, especially the town centre. Nearby public transport such as the trams to and from the airport, and the coast as well as the buses.
For a hotel boasting four stars, the breakfast offering fell well short of expectations. The selection was disappointing, with limited variety and uninspired options. When I inquired about the possibility of daily menu changes to introduce some variation, management responded that this breakfast is served across all their hotel chains and would not be altered. Despite raising concerns about poor shower pressure, no one was sent to investigate or resolve the issue. The absence of responsive customer service, coupled with no sign of proactive improvement, left a sour impression on what should’ve been a four-star experience.
