Very Good
This is an old but extremely charming inn. Rooms are comfortable and the staff is friendly, Nice place to stay after a full day in Edinburgh and before leaving for a coastal drive.
Staff can be overworked. Morning coffee was cold. Missed the entrance to parking because another vehicle was riding my bumper - not the fault of the Inn and not sure if anything can be done to help avoid that.

Noisy room, close to the road and bad acoustic isolation
The worst, the shower: lack of enough water pressure and the temperature was very difficult to adjust.

bed was comfortable, room was clean
room very,very small, no bigger than a large cupboard. No room for two people to move around. Blind had to be kept closed as right outside was the car park & 'smoking shelter' which was occupied most of the time.

Clean bed
The room was very noisy throughout the whole night as it was by a busy road plus the person walking about at 11pm in the next room, weirdly, made my bed shake, and then snoring for the whole night did not help due to the thin walls. I could even hear his phone conversations. Something I did not want as I was trying to sleep. If you want a peaceful night's sleep, then look elsewhere

Simple, quiet inn within 25 minutes of Edinburgh Airport to sleep off an international flight. Checked in, slept for 15 hours, showered, ate breakfast and left. It was everything I needed.

Confusion about our bill- had an cost for food that we did not order. Cost telephone call to get it straightened out. The staff person was understanding though.

The room could’ve been much cleaner. Specifically the bathroom and shower were pretty gross. Things are generally clean in terms of beds and linens, but the floor and bathroom had problems.

Location
Staff unfriendly but not as unfriendly as the locals. They do not like visitors. Room was aweful, electrical sockets located where you had to crawl around on the floor to use them. Only 1 out of 2 worked. No supplied toiletries, shower was pathetic no pressure and impossible to regulate temp. Food quality was good.

Gluten free separate menu for evening meal fantastic, very good private parking.
Dressing table needed a mirror so you could sit down.
