Callum and Adam were amazing. They are such lovely people and attended to all our needs and anticipated what we might need!
The room was really warm and not air conditioned. A bit of a breeze was felt with the windows open but it was noisy from the traffic.

Best steak and ale pie I've ever had.
Room was small but they managed to sandwich a shower into that so full marks on that score. It wasn't anything worth bothering about though.

The whole place is in serious need of an upgrade. The floors was not clean with lots of dust. The bathroom was tiny.

Convenient location, even though located outside Edinburgh, the bus stop is right outside and goes straight to the city centre. The breakfast is not a usual selection like in other hotels, but you get a menu of 3-4 choices in the evening and need to pre-select. But in general, it was tasty if you are in for 'full English'.
The hotel is just above the bar, so we were a bit lost at first about where to go for check-in. Related to this, the noise from the bar was coming a bit into the room, but it was not that disturbing. The room was very small and cold, but it's good that there was an electric heater already in the room. In addition, the cleanliness was not that good.

Very friendly staff. Room was large and the corridors and stairs were wide. It was not noisy but we were there on a Wednesday night. The breakfast was a standard English made to order. The location was close enough to Edinbough by car or bus to be convenient.
