The staff were very friendly and made you feel at ease. Superb breakfast and lots of it from a full English, continental to cereal and endless tea and coffee. I ran out of coffee and milk and they were so happy to help when asked for more. Really good location, close to the castle, greyfriers and museum and plenty of places to eat
I loved my stay but the only downside was that my room backed onto a working courtyard which was busy with vehicles so a little noisy. There were a few scuffs here and there which cannot be avoided really but only needs someone going around touching them up

The front desk service is very enthusiastic.
However, the windows in the room are drafty and not very soundproof. The honking of cars passing by downstairs often wakes you up. Moreover, the curtains are not thick enough, and the morning sunlight shining on your face will also wake you up.

​Our stay at KM Hotel was fantastic! We traveled as a couple and found the room very comfortable and well-maintained. The location is perfect—just a 7-minute walk to the High Street, making sightseeing effortless. Good breakfast too. ​What truly stood out was the lovely staff; everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful. It’s a brilliant base for exploring the city. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh!

The hotel reception staff were friendly and helpful. They assisted us with both early check-in and late check-out, which we appreciated.
Breakfast was ordinary. The main problem, however, is that there is a supermarket loading and unloading area located directly underneath the hotel. From very early in the morning until late at night, there are constant noises from trucks, pallets, and deliveries. Because of this, it was impossible to sleep properly or get any real rest. Additionally, the rooms are quite old and the sound insulation is very poor. You can hear all the outside noise as well as every footstep from the corridor inside the room. Unfortunately, this made the stay quite uncomfortable.
