A comfortable hotel in very close distance to the old town and Royal Mile. Clean rooms, everything which is needed for a short trip in Edinburgh. Really friendly hotel employees.
We had a room in under the roof, it was very warm when we arrived and there was no AC. It was okay as we didn't stay so much time in the room. Also there's no elevator but it's manageable.

Really great room, great facilities including lovely bathroom and good quality bed
Room was very very warm, even with the window open and fan used it was still very warm
Breakfast was a bit lacking for the price.

Nice and friendly staff. Lovely buffet breakfast. Convenient location.
Room is quite small, but still ok. There is some kind of loading dock near by so it was bit noisy in the morning. Shower need deep cleaning as it was mouldy. We asked to change linen after 3 nights but it was never done.

The location was an easy walk from the train station and the main areas. It was good for a one night stay.
The bathroom fan turned on by itself very early on Sunday morning so we were woken up by this, not sure if its on a timer as we couldnt turn it off. The street outside was very noisy with traffic and people throughout the night.

The location
Had no lift, had to climb stairs to the 3rd floor. Had to pay for packing. The room was very tiny for the price we paid, the bathroom was dirty,

The breakfast was great. Fresh and filling. What I liked in particular were the staff who served it. Warm and welcoming.
Perhaps the sound of the doors closing rather loudly, (quite loud in the hallway when someone entered and exited their room), but really it was no biggie.
