Such a welcoming lady upon arrival, so friendly and invite us in , telling us we have an honest policy, help ourselves to drinks etc and let us know what you've used.
Our bags were carried up to our room
The hotel was very clean and tidy , vintage not old.
The room was spacious, clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable.
I would highly recommend this property as it's a lovely place and the bus stop straight into the city is outside. Buses run often and plenty of options #3 #37 #31

The location
The room was too small. The mattress was really bad, had a big deformation. The AC was not working and it was extremely warm inside the room due to the high temperatures outside.

Not up to 4 star expectations
Property lacked maintenance and was too old fashioned to be practical. Faulty items include bedside light, shower head, curtain poles
Bedroom was a bit pinched on space.
Bed was too firm.

The bus stop was very close and it was a short walk to the shopping centre. There was free private parking. Staff allowed us to use the kitchen microwave to heat dinner (though would be good if there was one for all guests).
The room was very small and cramped, such that two people could not pass one another around the bed and chair. We were placed in the outside building which had its own 'conservatory' (dining, sitting room), however, we were told we could not use it as it was for families rooms only, even though the sign clearly stated for all guests to use. The breakfast price was exorbitant.

lovely building, lovely four poster bed. staff very friendly and helpful
dated rooms, big crack down wall in room. windows so thick with paint it’s hard to open them, ripped bedding
