Wonderful
Nice hotel, very comfortable lobby and bar. Lovely bedroom with great furnishings.
Breakfast was really great.
Conveniently located for the old city.
Good shortcut through the hotel onto the royal mile.
Workmen star on construction around 7:30, can be very noisy.

There was considerable building work going on at the Hotel at the time and the front entrance made us feel like it was a very much a poor relation to other hotels that were available in Edinburgh at the time.
We we booked a poor relation to other places.
1st room had two beds and a view of a wall, second room ran out of t paper and t bags!

A bit of noise from the close running through hotel.

Great position in the City very close to the Railway Station and the Royal Mile.
The room was excellent all facilities available, comfortable beds, very clean.

I booked this on behalf of my parents and they were very happy. My mum said the staff were excellent. I spoke to one lady (sounded Italian) when I had to change the dates due to my dad fracturing his leg and she was so pleasant and helpful. I’m sure they’ll stay there again

Centric Location. Close to train station. Next to Royal Mile, Castle and Palace. Close to gardens. Amazing rooms. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Great gym.
It was perfect. Though I'd love to have had a bathtub.

It was fairly central and close to the train station
It was pretty loud, you can hear others/TV’s in the rooms adjacent and there was an odd smell outside my room.
One lift was down leaving one other lift to service everyone which left people waiting quite a while to get in/out

Good thing its was close to the station. They let you keep ur suitcases in the hotel after check out time without fees.
Asked for a nice view as i was just staying for one night got put in a room overlooking the bins. Went down to reception again got put in a room overlooking construction works. Said u get internet and tv the tv didn’t have any wifi connection so couldn’t watch anything. The shampoo and tissues were empty literally had one tissue and no shampoo at all the shampoo bottle was filled with water ! Tried ringing reception to fix some of the problems from the telephone provided in the room no answer for half an hour so i gave up. When i went for reception to get help i felt the person was a bit impatient so i was shy to ask for help for the other stuff.

Lovely hotel, very pleasant staff always ready to help, with a good knowledge of the area. Made to feel very welcome.
Food was very good, had an evening meal and breakfast, serving staff exceptional.
The room was good bathroom a little small.
Could do with some hooks to hang towels on after use, to dry.
The room had a musky smell, like damp.

I paid extra for a King superior room o ot to find it was exactly the same size as a double room it just had a king size bed so actually felt smaller
