Outstanding location if you travel by train (right outside Waverly station). Great view out over Edinburgh city. Room was very comfortable, bed was acceptable. Bathroom facilities was very good with toiletries provided. There was a fridge and a coffee maker in the room. TV was large, but only half of the channels were working. Breakfast was outstanding. Lots of selection and as much as you could eat. Staff were outstanding, welcoming and very helpful. We had an executive room so not sure how much of this would translate over to a more basic room. The "aircon" was something of a mystery. Only complaint would be that the elevators were out of action the time we were there, which was very inconvenient having to get baggage up to the forth floor. Also, the stairways always seemed to have used plates, cups of rubbish left in them.

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was lovely
Waking up to construction workers literally outside my window hammering and drilling and trying not to look in the room. No hot water in the bathroom sink. Only one towel for two guests. An elevator out of order

The breakfast was very good, particularly as haggis was included in the hot buffet. The location was really good too, being so close to the railway station, the Royal Mile and so many good places to eat.
Due to building works, only one lift was available to service seven floors. The queues posed quite an inconvenience as my husband's health problems meant the waiting was difficult and painful. A warning at time of booking would have been useful.

Very clean spotless rooms, very efficient service, I asked for front view room after I checked in to the standard one and I was upgraded to executive for free. They helped me very efficiently to set up tv for Netflix and you tube. They can let u check out an hour late for free. Worth the money paid.

Location was great. The room was well decorated and comfortable. The bathroom was a good spec. I used the bar and the staff were friendly. The lady who greeted us for breakfast each day was excellent.
Nothing really stands out as being poor. If I was being hyper critical the signs to the rooms weren’t entirely clear

Great location, good breakfast, nice staff, comfortable rooms and functioning AC.
The elevators were constantly not working. We had to take the lift to the 5th floor and walk down to the 4th floor, or use a more distant elevator with a heavy queue.
