Lovely stay—staff and facilities were great, and the location was perfect for everything we wanted to see and do. The highlight was the breakfast, with lots of options, even for our 1-year-old.
Service charge at the bar felt a bit high, especially since we often had to prompt for drinks.

Well located and very easy to reach from Waverley Station.

Perfect location in Edinburgh, walk out the back of Waverley train station and it’s only a few minutes walk (no hills!) to the hotel
This is beyond the hotel’s control (and it looks like it’s almost complete (Feb 2026) but here’s a hotel being built next door. There was a persuasive smell of plaster dust in my room. Not terrible but noticeable.

Great location, especially if you're arriving by train. Just 3 mins walk from the station. Also conveniently located, close to both old and new town. Breakfast was fulfilling, the gym was very trendy and cool in design.
There was a terrible stink in the bathroom that wouldn't fade. The refrigerator was not chilling at all.

While possibly out of control of the hotel owners the construction work going on next to/at the rear of the hotel is disruptive. It’s not the work as much as the workmen playing their radio so loud you’re woken at 7a wirh the noise and them shouting over each other to be heard.

Room size was good, clean and modern. Location was fantastic because it was on the same street as the rail station. We took many day trips so it made it easy. Only one street away from the royal mile . Location was why I chose this hotel and I wasn’t disappointed.
There was construction work on the street of the hotel but we weren’t driving a car so it wasn’t an issue for us.

VERY convenient location with easy access to train and Royal Mile. The breakfast was a hit with everyone.
City construction work outside, not the hotel's fault. "Thin walls" between rooms. Little or no ventilation for bathroom.

Incredible location. Nice clean room. Our top priority was proximity to parking and this did not disappoint! Car park at the train station was just a short walk away.
There was construction outside of our window which was quite loud during the day. Pillows were insanely thin - like cardboard, lol! I would suggest more rods or hooks in the bathroom for storage. Biggest complaint is we couldn't control the fan so it was quite warm in the room. This combined with the pillows made for a rather uncomfortable sleep.
