The location is perfect. Right by the train station and up the alley to the main street where the Royal Mile is and very close (less than 10 min) walk to the team to/from the team to the airport.
Most of the front desk staff was nice. Some seemed put out that I would ask questions. Plus they didn't really offer help with getting around Edinburgh or tours. But all-in-all they were very nice. Brought us extra towels and a new hair dryer.
Comfortable rooms. Hopefully your neighbors are quiet. Ours on our first night we're not, but luckily they left. Sound proofing isn't super great but it is good enough for sleeping. Beds are a little too firm for my liking and some different size pillows would be good for different types of sleepers.
Overall it is a great hotel. Ok price, but you're paying for a good location.

Breakfast, location and staff! Breakfast we really enjoyed and their staff was always very attentive and nice to talk with!
Room was expensive but then I guess whole of Edinburg is expensive for rooms.

Perfect location with friendly staff. Very clean rooms and excellent service. The breakfast exceeded my expectation.
There can be slippers in the rooms. Other than that everything was great.

The location is great, its only a few feet away from the royal mile.
There is currently a construction project going on in the adjacent building. I had to ask to have my room moved as it was TINY, dark and it overlooked the area of construction where multiple men were working about 10 feet from my window. When I inquired I learned that they were working from 8a-5p on the adjacent building - while listening to loud music. I immediately asked for a new room. My second room in another area of the building was wonderful and MUCH bigger - I'm glad I asked for the room change right away.

Location of the hotel was exceptional and the staff were all incredibly friendly.
The construction next door was not great in the morning and we had no view whatsoever from our room.

Excellent room and staff. Loved the snacks and the front desk staff. Breakfast hostess was incredible! Lots of outlets for electronics. Can walk from train station.
