Travelling by train can always be worrying when planning a few days away as you what to be in a handy position so not too tricky dragging around cases but don't want to be far from the main areas, this hotel is perfect. We saw it from the train so there was no doubt which way to head, its on what I would class as a back street so there's minimal traffic on the road yet walk out the front door and you are probably 3 mins max from the Royal Mile and anything you want from Edinburgh is at your finger tips. All the staff check-in, bar, restaurant cleaning staff that we had interactions with were so helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Comfortable bed, clean rooms, beautiful view and great location to shops and restaurants, train station and castles... Staff was very helpful, especially Gabbi, who helped find a room with a view for our stay. We didn't have breakfast on the property, (some many other options in the neighborhood) but we did have a late dinner one night, and it was really good. I would here stay again.
Being picky: The only thing that was off, was the bathroom door - it opened into the bathroom, taking lots of space there. + There is some scaffolding near the hotel, but most of the city is under some type of refurbishing. It didn't bother me, though.
