Pleasant
The bedroom was beautiful and very spacious. Great location with parking, perfect for visiting Edinburgh on the train.
The bathroom really took away from the experience. Although outwardly looked modern and was additionally clean there were a number of factors that really detracted from the overall experience. Due to the basement level, the toilet is fitted with a macerator which was very noisy for prolonged periods of time after use. The toilet seat lid was unable to stay open due to the cistern position. Meaning you had to sit on the loo with it hitting your back for use. Additionally the shower tray had poor drainage and threatened to overtop.

Lovely frinedly hotel.with charm in great location. Dinner and breakfast superb, as local beer. Not our first time here and definately not the last.

We loved the location, the room was clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was amazing best we had at South Queensferry.
We weren't aware of free WiFi it wasn't particularly clear only discovered day we were leaving

Fair
Clean,warm bedroom
Food was poor.
Had a evening meal out first night.
I picked the fish and chips -mushy peas were cold.
Chips were overcooked and cold.
Breakfast was also lukewarm at best.
Disappointing ☹️

Pleasant
Not enough staff on the evening of the stay - the two young men on duty where run hairless between serving at hr bar and bring the food out.

Good
A comfortable and pleasant place to stay. Clean, bar staff were very cheerful and friendly. Bed was comfortable and generally a nice place to stay
The owner/manager ? Not sure which, was not at all helpful with finding somewhere safe to leave my bike. There were several places, even undercover at the back of the hotel where the bike could have been secure. But I got the feeling that she really didn't care.
Sadly the noise from Trainline overhead is somewhat irritating but on the night I stayed they stopped at 11.30 pm and first train was 6am. Nothing that the hotel can do about it

Wonderful
Size of room was good and facilities in the room. The location was great, the staff very friendly and eager to help or please
As is the case with most hotels nowadays not enough hanging space for coats and jackets etc. The tv in the room had poor signal as does the complimentary Wi-Fi

Spacious room
Under the railway-hadn’t realised it was directly underneath. Apparently the inn has lots of local history but this wasn’t evident on our visit.
