Good
Nice rooms, food was good. Staff were nice. Breakfast was good.
We were told we could go upstairs to the rooms, however the housekeepers were still working on all the rooms.
We had a private room, which was lovely, but it took 40 minutes for us to be served our first drink and an hour before we received our starters, despite them all being pre ordered.
When the meal was over, were asked to leave the room and go sit in the bar area so the staff could clean up, this was fine, however, when we tried to order a drink, we were told the bar was closed. It was only 10:30. We were all overnight guests and found this a bit strange.
At breakfast, we asked for scrambled eggs but we were told this was only for children, very little Scottish produce , all bought in from English suppliers. Would be better if their Scottish locations used Scottish produce and catered to Scottish menus.

Wonderful
The location and staff were very good. The staff went out of their way to be helpful before check in so we could store our bags and go on our booked cruise from the ferry terminal. A staff member also rang a taxi for us to assist us with our very early trip to the airport. This was extremely helpful as we couldn't phone out on our phones as we only had data, no calls. The staff member even told us where it would be best to wait in the morning. Delicious meal and quiet room.
Check the plumbing in the shower - didn't seem to drain as well as I expected, although it was adequate.

Pleasant
We had a very spacious room and clean bathroom and the restaurant was very good.
The noise from the train wasn’t too bad, but at 2:30 am we heard about an hour’s worth of very loud drilling or jackhammering very close to our room. It was very difficult to go back to sleep after that. Since we had to get up early for a flight as well, it was extremely frustrating.

Good
Bar area , room was nice .
Check in service was poor , only girl in reception was serving at bar . Waiting to check in after filling in express check in on journey up . About six others behind us waiting to do same . Didn’t realise train noise would be so bad .

Very Poor
I booked 2 rooms through Booking.com and booked twin rooms with sea view. Upon my guest's checking in they were told all rooms with views were fully booked!! Even though I booked months in advance specific rooms
Staff and manager very rude and not helpful. Will definitely not be using this hotel again.

Very Good
It was a great location looking out at the Firth of Forth Bridge and bay. Spacious room with unique older Inn styling. Restaurant and bar part of property. Close to airport. Parking on property.
The train passes over the top every 15 minutes until early evening, but tapers off towards bedtime.

Pleasant
Friendly staff team, beautiful views
Very noisy throughout the evening and until after midnight - boy racers driving up and down the road outside and congregating in the adjacent carpark
