Bedroom was so small you couldn’t access both sides of the bed
Staff were very unfriendly
Only hotel I’ve ever stayed in where you had to ask for a cup for coffee or for orange juice (both hidden behind the bar)

We had stayed the previous 4 nights in a place with no comfort and inadequate privacy, so coming here felt like a little bit of heaven. Comfy bed, a bedside cabinet each, huge TV (not that we had time to watch), decent bathroom. V friendly bar staff and welcome opportunity for a nightcap before bed. Clean.
We've stayed at this hotel before. This was the best room we've had there.
Toilet seat was a bit wobbly. (We've had trouble with Toby Carvery toilet seats before - suggest ugrading!) The shower screen left a bit of a gap in the middle. Neither of these things spoiled our stay.

Very friendly staff ideally located for visiting the city bus stop directly outside the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and very reasonably priced. The bed was very comfortable. Will definitely use this hotel again. Will also check out other Toby hotels also. Well done all

The staff were amazing, the food was excellent and the rooms were fabulous. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and this one had to be one of the best we have stayed in. From the very warm welcome I instantly felt comfortable. The room was very spacious and immaculately presented. Huge bed, crisp clean bedding and we honestly had the best sleep ever. Food was very good value and very tasty. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone 10/10.

Clean, comfortable, location was perfect. Our room was facing the road but it was actually pretty quiet re traffic noise. Plenty of parking. WiFi was a bit hit and miss for me, I had to tether from my husbands phone. Staff were friendly, extra towels brought up within minutes of asking for some. Nothing was too much trouble.

Compact room, well decorated, very clean, Storage limited, due to size of room. OK for 1-2 nights baggage but not very suitable for cases.
Bed very comfortable. Limited space meant 1 small bedside table and reading lamp at one side only of the bed.
Shower room recently redone, good shower, very clean.
Carvery dinner offered good choice of hot cooked dishes. Very nice desserts. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient.
Large carvery selection at breakfast. Limited selection for those who do not wish a cooked breakfast.
Located in shopping area of Corstorphine, Edinburgh: Good car park and plenty of buses available.
