If you want to sleep above a bar, then do it and make a reservation there. However, this was not my idea when I booked. And honestly, to the place owners - you can't have both a restaurant that is as noisy as a bar and rooms just upstairs.
The attitude at the restaurant was poor, at the reception it was nonexistent and this is why I wouldn't return to both places.

Like everywhere in Edinburgh in August it was way over what you'd expect to oay hor bed snd breakfast.

Room was clean, tidy and spacious. Staff were very helpful and dinner and breakfast was lovely. Easy access to city centre via bus stop outside and was able to secure a car park
Bathroom is small and if a large person could have difficulty.

The rooms were cozy and the location perfect for parking the car and taking the bus just in front of the hotel.
The property was great. The breakfast was generous. Maybe some fresh fruit selections? You could ask for an apple or orange, so that's what we did.

Great access to public transport into Edinburgh.
If you are a bigger person, the room we had was very small. In particular the shower was very small. The bed was also 2 singles pushed together with and obvious gap. For the cost of the room I expected better.

Too many stairs and our room was one of the furthest away from the reception. No staff offered to help us with our luggage. The food horrible as well

Toby Carvery is my wife’s favourite restaurant. Breakfast was amazing as always.
The room was small and compact but high quality.
10 mins from Edinburgh airport. Room was clean.
We advised that it was our 12th anniversary and Angela, created a romantic experience for our room. She was so lovely and even wished us a happy anniversary the next day.
All the staff were lovely, including the young lady at the front desk who told us of all the great sights to see in the city. We took her advice and we were so glad we did. she also allowed us to store some of our luggage after checkout whilst we went sightseeing.
