My wife and I were going to the Edinburgh Tattoo. The location of the hotel was brilliant. We had the Toby carvery before we headed to the Edinburgh Tattoo. Beautiful meal. Everything cooked to perfection. The room was very clean. Bed very comfortable and room very quiet. The only thing I picked up for the room is the shower doors. Quite a small gap, so maybe not good for the larger person. Also for our breakfast. The food was beautiful and well cooked. However pucking a plate for our breakfast. Some of the plates were dirty.
Mainly a couple of dirty plates when picking up a clean plate for our breakfast.

Nice compact room. Carvery was nice in the evening.
Lumpy pillows. Breakfast was not replenished regularly, so it looked like it had been sitting under the hotplate for some time.

Everyone on the staff is very kind and helpfull.
Two breakfast options - all you can eat or continental. Both options are good!
The room is nice and good value for the price.
The room was not the cleanest, but it was far from bad - it is one area that could be improved to make the place even better.

The small yet well equipped double room was clean and tidy. The evening carvery was excellent value. Breakfast was likewise excellent with plenty of choice. The bar was open when we finished work at 2330hrs and was a welcome sight for a quick drink before bed. All in all, a friendly welcoming Inn.
No gym facilities. Otherwise, a really enjoyable stay.
