Location to airport, public transport into the city.
Parking spaces were tight. Some sort of machinery / aircon / chiller unit outside room window went on and off all night, difficult to sleep.

The bus stop outside giving good access to the City.
The restaurant menus consisted only of a carvery, so we used the nearby Witherspoons for 2 of our 3 night stay.
Breakfast hot food was often left too long in the carvery and was nit fresh enough.

Wonderful
All the staff were exceptionally good - professional, friendly and helpful.
All areas were very clean.
Breakfast served buffet style - all you can eat Scottish breakfast - was fresh, hot and good with cereals, yoghurt too.
Dinner - carvery and more - and bar is available too.
Easy access on buses from directly outside to centre of town and beyond.
Variety of shops, restaurants, beauticians on the same road. Some traffic noise but not enough to disturb our sleep.
Good value for money.
These are not complaints, just our findings
The bedroom was small but okay. Lighting a little dim. Pillows are too thin, but there were two each.
Bathroom was shiny clean with good towels. Plenty of hot water. Shower was very small but, we managed.
Room was quite hot. We opened the window for some air and you can request a fan.

Very Good
The location was convenient for us because there was public transportation just outside the hotel. A bus to the airport also stops on the hotel's street.
To use hotel Wi-Fi, you have to make an account. Breakfast was a choice of Scottish buffet breakfast or continental. It wasn't the best buffet we had but the food was edible. We don't have mobility difficulties but it is worth noting there is no elevator.

Very Good
The location was good to get to Edinburgh airport quickly. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
It was difficult to access. Although parking was provided and was free it was quite tight and difficult to park. Getting into the hotel was even more difficult. No one answered the door bell. We had to walk around the building to get in. Check in was more difficult than anywhere we have stayed in over 30 years of travel to Scotland.

The hotel is attached to a major restaurant. It's really a restaurant with some hotel rooms attached, so food is never a problem! We had dinner at the restaurant, and were able to upgrade our reservation to include the breakfast buffet too. We stayed here due to proximity to EDI airport. It's super handy to take a taxi/uber to the airport from this location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as we had things we needed to put in a fridge and they stored them for us in the kitchen. Despite our room facing the main street, the windows are double-paned and it was surprisingly quiet!
The room is very small, but functional. The bathroom is likewise small, but we were only there for one night, so it wasn't a problem. If one is thinking of staying here several nights, it's tight for a couple to share the bathroom. It is right on a very busy street so walking around is not super fun.

Wonderful
The hotel is in a great location. From the airport we took bus 100 and it stops a five minute walk from the hotel. Also, right outside the hotel you can take bus 31 to princess street in view of the castle and a short walk to the royal mile.
It was great having a restaurant with good food at a very reasonable price.
All the staff, regardless of their position within the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. Having been to quite a few hotels over the years it’s probably in the top 2 of friendliest!
The hotel was clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very clean. Kettle, tea and coffee was provided in the room.
I was very happy with my stay.
