The staff was nice and helpful, the restaurant was good and the lobby and sitting area was really nice. The room was nice but very small.
There wasn’t enough room for both of us to comfortably put our luggage away. The bathroom was also very small.

The location was excellent. The breakfast was ok.
The room was ridiculously small. There was hardly room to move in it. It had no view - it looked out onto the wall of the next building. I think I was given this room because I was travelling with a child - but he is 14 years old, and therefore virtually an adult. I did mention it to the receptionist, who acknowledged it was small, but said the building used to be a bank. I am absolutely sure there were bigger rooms available.
There was clearly a shortage of staff at breakfast, which meant that the tables weren't cleared as people finished. Very unpleasant.

Location perfect. Room compact but comfortable and excellent breakfast.
I liked the property very much but Edinburgh as a whole has become fantastically expensive- especially on a Saturday night. The Ibis is not alone in this.
