Check- in - efficient and polite. Breakfast - fine. Location - excellent.
Room was very small and cramped. Dinner options - limited and only so-so. Decor was NOT attractive - random, with loud, conflicting colours. PRICE was VERY HIGH!

- Loved the well-thought out decor. Loved the eclectic artwork, furniture and decor in lobby!
- Room was spacious and very clean!
- Love the wood floors in the room!
-Love the great tile in the bathroom!
- Daily breakfast was delicious and a plentiful variety of foods. Breakfast came with room price is a plus!
- Friendly, welcoming, professional staff.
- 24/7 Reception is great! 24/7 fresh pizza available, if hungry.
- Very artsy beautiful lobby.
- St. Andrew’s Square is a short walk to/ from the Edinburgh Waverly train station. Very convenient.
- The square is quiet and off the beaten path in New Town but, close enough to walk to Old Town too.

- My only wish is to have the coffee machine available in the lobby 24/7. (There is a kettle with instant coffee and tea in the rooms but, the variety of breakfast coffee in the lobby was delicious!

Location, breakfast, staff!
The first night was interesting, the bathroom was extremely small. I almost hit my head on the wash basin when going to the bathroom, the area was too tight; we left for 2 nights, then returned to the hotel to complete our stay and my bathroom was bigger and much more enjoyable (different room)!

The location was perfect, as it was close to the train station, and getting back to the airport on the tram. This made it very convenient given our tight schedule for tours and going to other areas in Scotland by train. Loved the art vibe in the hotel throughout the floors and rooms. I always like a nice bathroom, and they had it. An added bonus was that breakfast was included. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and made our stay even more enjoyable.

We would definitely visit this hotel again when visiting Edinburgh.
