The atmosphere throughout our entire stay was soo lovely:staff and other guests... just all felt very welcoming and relaxed... fab.
That, and the usual stuff: location, food options, bar, decorations ...
We had a window that looked onto a brick wall, but to be honest-it actually didnt really bother us at all, - window still opened for air and the room was bright and colourful that you didn't feel enclosed in or anything-I'm literally searching for things I didnt like and this was the only disappointment-but not as big an issue as it might have been for another hotel

The location
One of the most uncomfortable beds I stayed in Edinburgh. It felt like a college mattress. On top of that, the showers, good grief did they leak everywhere! Hated that there was nowhere to get ice.

Excellent location, friendly staff, clean room. We ate in the hotel one night. Pub type food but lots of it even with small plates.
The room was very ‘compact’, making it difficult for two people to move around. One of the two lifts was not working. This had apparently been the case for over a week.

Excellent location, right in the city center, yet pleasantly away from the noise.
The breakfast was also very good.
I am giving this stay a 10/10 overall. While the Wi-Fi was a bit slow and the room size was on the smaller side, we were still happy with our stay.
The room size is fairly typical for Ibis hotels, and considering the central location, it was completely understandable.
The WiFi was slow.

Booked from previous experience, knowing i would be assured a comfortable stay and this time was no exception.
Staff are extremely professional and courteous, the room itself is always a treat. Comfortable, stylish and spotlessly clean. Staying here feels like a gift to myself due to all of the above.
Slightly difficult to find a seat at breakfast time.
