Rooms were too small, lobby looked pretty but was very uncomfortable to sit in and worst of all the breakfast was absolutely horrible!

Great location, close to bus station, train station within walking distance, St. Andrews square right across from hotel. Lots of pubs and shops close by.
The breakfast was minimal and area way too small. Room was very small - could not walk around bed without hitting something. With a table and two chairs in room this made it hard to walk around. Bathroom shower was not big enough for an adult to shower with door closed. Even a child would have problems with that. The bed was very uncomfortable and mattress was lumpy - pillows were very hard.

The room was a good size and had a private balcony. It was clean and had a good continental breakfast. The location was decent, but quite a walk for several tourist attractions (ex castle) which didn’t bother us, but just something to keep in mind. .
The staff was not rude, but they were not friendly either. The room lacked any kind of mini fridge for keeping things cold and at the time of our visit only one elevator was working. There was also no bathroom in the restaurant/bar which seems odd and was pretty inconvenient.

Check- in - efficient and polite. Breakfast - fine. Location - excellent.
Room was very small and cramped. Dinner options - limited and only so-so. Decor was NOT attractive - random, with loud, conflicting colours. PRICE was VERY HIGH!

- St. Andrew’s Square is a short walk to/ from the Edinburgh Waverly train station. Very convenient.
- The square is quiet and off the beaten path in New Town but, close enough to walk to Old Town too.

- My only wish is to have the coffee machine available in the lobby 24/7. (There is a kettle with instant coffee and tea in the rooms but, the variety of breakfast coffee in the lobby was delicious!

Location, breakfast, staff!
The first night was interesting, the bathroom was extremely small. I almost hit my head on the wash basin when going to the bathroom, the area was too tight; we left for 2 nights, then returned to the hotel to complete our stay and my bathroom was bigger and much more enjoyable (different room)!

The location was perfect, as it was close to the train station, and getting back to the airport on the tram. This made it very convenient given our tight schedule for tours and going to other areas in Scotland by train. Loved the art vibe in the hotel throughout the floors and rooms. I always like a nice bathroom, and they had it. An added bonus was that breakfast was included. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and made our stay even more enjoyable.
