Very comfortable and clean accommodation. The room was larger than expected. Well positioned just off the Royal Mile and for the Waverley train station. Staff were lovely, and helpful- which is important for a woman travelling alone.

My room was ready early
Location was good but given its very central location I imagine it gets very loud at the weekends
The room was small and a bit shabby
I paid extra for a sofa bed, which was very narrow and not worth it
Overall, it was very disappointing and I would not recommend this hotel given the high price of the room

The room size was small and didn't allow for much movement for two people. Nighty cost was a little pricey for what you got

This hotel is in a great location. It is right off the Royal Mile so there is easy access to restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. The hotel rooms are comfortable and reasonable clean. The staff is both friendly and helpful.
The breakfast is not worth the price. I would not recommend including it with your stay.

Situated on the Royal Mile, half way in between the castle and the palace.
The biggest issue is that there is heating and cooling, but no air conditioning: if the temperature is above 21C the room is cooled and below 21C the room is heated.
To have a comfortable temperature in the room during the night we had to open the window. Around the hotel is a very noisy place. So we slept badly.

The location, just off the Royal Mile is superb.
We walked from the railway station and it is uphill all the way.
There is a very good buffet breakfast.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The room was a bit small.
We stayed during the Festival, so we didn't pay usual, ibis prices.
