Pleasant
The breakfast was fine, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great.
I was given an ADA friendly room, which was a little inconvenient with the bathroom. The staff suggested i switch to another room the next day. There was a lot of noise from the window: people shouting, glass bottles/heavy glass being thrown into containers all through the night.

Poor
This was the simples of hotel rooms, sparsely and cheapkly furnished, the lowest quality of all bathroom amenites, towels that were thin and bedding that was low quality. To charge £300 per night for this room was an outrage, there is no insulation on the windows so that evey noise can be heard from outside through the night. A group of accountants run this hotel and have decided to cut every single corener possible whilst inflating the price because it is Edinburgh. A total overcharge and save for the excellent location this place is a rip off and after spending £600 on two of these terrible rooms they had the insult to charge us £13.50 for breakfast - please find somewhere else

Poor
The staff was truly not only helpful, but very courteous and efficient. Thankful specially to Ms Kinga who helped us all she could within the constraints of the hotel.
Being accustomed to other chain hotels (4 starts) we accepted to stay here on a friend's recommendation. Rooms, and specifically the bathrooms, were extremely small. No real ventilation, and windows hardly open. Breakfast, for the price paid was quite poor, and even the snacks (had a small pizza one night) were frozen and to be reheated. Will never stay at such a chain again. Would have switched to another hotel, had I not pre-paid the stay.

The bathroom was very clean.
I found the bathroom to be on the smaller side. The door would not stay open which caused for a feeling of cramped quarters. I like to dry my hair inside the bathroom but was unable to do so.

Very Good
Location is the very best in town. Unbeatable. Literally in the middle of everything. That helped a lot. Staff was great helping with the luggage and giving advice. Breakfast was great.
Rooms / bathroom specially are small and some dirty walls. But still decent towards modern. But enough as we were in the best location.

Location was perfect - very close to all the attractions in Edinburgh
Felt a little run down for the price. My room had quite a few cutouts / dents in the walls. There is a loud electrical buzzing in the hotel and the elevators feel quite old. Breakfast was average and not the cleanest - cereals in beaten metal containers / powder all over coffee machines

Good
Staff was friendly and helpful at all times. My flight landed at 7AM. I liked the fact that when I arrived to the hotel that they were able to store my luggage in a locked room as opposed to behind the front desk in the open.
The exterior of the entrance could have been cleaner. It's located next to a busy area, so street trash seems to accumulate all around the the sidewalk. Never having been to Edinburgh, my first impression was that this wasn't a great section of the city. However, after a few days, it was clear that this was normal in many areas.
