The location was awesome the staff were great and very helpful
The watery broken coffee machine, the weird twin beds with mattresses that kept slipping off bed, the temperature control apparatus that seemed to just be a prop, and the noisy courtyard with barrels of bottles being dumped in the early morning hours when people are trying to sleep.

Fantastic location, close to the castle, shops and several other attractions.
We felt that it was overpriced, both the room and the breakfast. Also, the bedside light cables may pose a hazard!

The staff were really helpful and the location is fantastic. It is really close to all the main attractions.
The rooms were a little small. For someone with a small appetite, the breakfast is overpriced.
I also think that the cost of the hotel is high.

We always stay at this Ibis when we come to Edinburgh as it central to everything we like to do. Right on the Royal Mile, not far from the train station & just a short walk to the Playhouse Theatre.

The hotel was in an excellent location, very close to major sites to visit, i.e the castle, Princes street and close to the rail station. I particularly liked that you were provided with a free local map. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fine, a good choice available, I stuck to the continental one. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The proximity to the Royal Mile. It was well maintained and comfortable!
I would have liked to have been given directions for parking and unloading. The front of the building is on a pedestrian street. After circling the royal mile several times we were able to call , from a moving vehicle, for parking and unloading instructions
