Convenient location, good breakfast, comfortable beds
On the last day the hotel was full of contractors doing work in the corridors creating horrendous noise and hazardous conditions. It seemed very unreasonable for this to be happening whilst the hotel was full of guests.n

Overall, a wonderful hotel. A bit pricey, but in the heart of the city. Pros: comfortable bed, air conditioning, hairdryer, clean room, regular towel and linen changes, friendly staff with 24-hour service, helped me with a taxi at 3am. And surprisingly quiet despite the fact that the hotel is surrounded by restaurants and bars.
Cons: no in-room safe, renovations underway (starting at 8am), comfortable but very small room – I was alone and everything was fine, but with two people it would have been crowded.

The location was absolutely fantastic!! Just off the Royal Mile about halfway so it is right in the midst of all the action. Rooms were very clean, beds were comfy and the shower was great!

Location
Receptionist forgot to give us room key at checkin -so had to go back down again to reception a second time. Building works being carried out on floor on arrival and VERY loud drilling the other side of our room early morning of second night. Guests should be warned of renovation works beforehand. Had to sleep with window open - extremely hot, no air con.

location and bfast are excellent
Works underway on the same floor in rooms right around ours; wifi is very frustrating and continuously dysfunctional to the point that i had to use my mobile data to do some important work on my laptop around 5 am; also a few drawers and a fridge would have been welcome; the coffee available is also extremely limited
