Location
The breakfast was in my opinion very poor. The kitchen staff were scruffy and looked like they had just fallen out of bed. Not much of a choice. Compared to other places we have stayed it was below par.

Great location on the map to be right in the middle of history... but it is also situated where the local homeless, rowdy and sometimes very vocal and almost confrontational groups congregate. It did not disturb our sleep, but it did make walking past uncomfortable, and we did not stay or visit any patio bat or restaurant next to the hotel because of it, which was unfortunate.
Besides the local hangout, there was no AC and only a tummy gap in the window for placing a small fan... and the temps were 30+. ...

The room was so small I bruised my arm against the tv as I walked by it and the end of the bed. I am a small person. Two people m the room is very bad!

It’s overlooking a park that drug addicts hang out in all day and all night. Lots of noise and fighting.
The rooms don’t have enough storage space for one person let alone a couple. And they were extremely hot and the climate control didn’t do a great job of moderating the temperature.

The room. It was hot and there was no way to cool it down. It was small and noisy next to the road (couldn’t open window to help sauna situation). Don’t go there!

We had no hot water every morning. Hot water only in the evening due some boiler issue.

We felt Hunter location in better condition more up to date small room tho’. Breakfast was good.
We were told just prior to our arrival we were moved from Hunter Square location down the street for one night. Hunter square nicer room and in better condition overall. The square was the gathering space for violent drunk drugged homeless, loud, fighting obnoxious language which went on through the night. Parked themselves there 24/7. Surprised hotel hasn’t dealt with this through city council. Bad for tourism. The hotel itself much better than first. Breakfast was good and staff nice. No compensation re the move financial or otherwise.
Disappointed by the location and having to move locations which disrupted one of our days.

Our experience was a great one. From the time we checked in till we left, the staff and facilities were of the highest standard. Breakfast was a great way to start the day. Lots of choice and attentive staff.
There were no downsides.
