Wonderful
Everything, location and restaurant and breakfast . The bed were very comfy!
I wish the standard queen would also have a nice Edinburgh view. Were unfortunate to get a brick wall view under construction.

Everything. It was really clean, smelt great, it was quirky but also retained and accentuated the beautiful Georgian/ Victorian heart of the building. The beds were amazing and the food and service at Twenty (restaurant) was exquisite. Also, Waverley Train Station is literally steps from the door of the hotel.
The lift is a little small and only one of them, but to retain period features, I will take one small lift every day.

Staff were welcoming and nothing was too much for them to do for us. The room was comfortable and a high standard.
The loud music in thr resurant at meal times.
The lighting was dim in the bedroom especially in the kettle area and the lifts. Pressed the emergency button in error, couldnt see "4" .

After a horrible welcome at Bonnie Hotel, where we were confronted with a room that smelt like sewage and dishonest staff members, my girlfriend booked this hotel instead as I was fighting with the Bonnie Hotel for a promised refund - still not received.
We truly had a lovely stay at Indigo hotel. The location was great and the staff was very nice. The room was perfect and everything was as it should be. What started off as a disaster for us, was all made up for by Indigo hotel and its staff members. Thank you for making our stay in Edinburgh memorable.

Wonderful
It’s a beautiful, quirky hotel well located right opposite Waverley Station. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The dining room is a magnificent room! I would also like to mention the wonderful porridge served at breakfast - traditional porridge without any horrible sweet things added (you can of course add these yourself if desired).
My room had a great view but it was accessed down about 12 steps - hard to handle a big heavy suitcase down these. I know it the shape and part of the charm
of the building (and it IS charming) so would suggest you mention your access needs on booking.

Central location and staff were friendly and helpful.
Little noisy during the night. Could hear water from other people toilets/showers. It’s an old building so probably to be expected.

Wonderful
The location was excellent if you are travelling by train as it is literally on the doorstep of Waverley Station
The staff were both friendly and attentive
Whilst understated outside, the ambiance of the hotel was lovely inside.
It was a very cold day and the restaurant in a vast room, but it was quite cold in there.

Very Good
Room was quaint, but well furnished and had free coffee / tea / snacks.
Location is perfect, opposite Waverley on Princes St
I didn't eat any meals in the hotel, but the attached bar / restaurant looked great
TV was awkwardly hung on the wall, which prevented confortably use of the desk.

Very Good
- Lovely spacious room and bathroom (with good water pressure)
- Excellent quality and well stocked breakfast (both cooked and continental)
- Fantastic location with bus stops right outside. Just a short walk from the train station.
- Friendly and welcoming staff (especially the restaurant team).
- Comfy large beds
- Well stocked good quality tea, coffee and snacks in the room with a pod coffee machine provided
- A portable heater provided in the room which was handy and very appreciated
- An excellent restaurant with a good quality and range of food options
- Letting us store our bags before checking in and after checking out
- The finishing quality of the rooms is not great for the price point of the hotel. There are sizable gaps in joinings, stuck up floor boards with gaps, staining and chips on furniture, and a poor finish in the bathroom with a peeling ceiling. (Nothing you would normally particularly mind, but it should be much better for this price point and when compared to other similarly priced hotels in Edinburgh).
- Windows in the room let in quite a draft if staying over the winter
- The rooms don't appear to be sound proofed, so you hear the street a lot, as well as people above you and in the corridor (again, not great for this price range)
- The service in the restaurant takes quite a while, but we think this was due to being short staffed on busy nights? Not the fault of the waiting team.
- Very little storage in the bathroom and bedroom
