Nice large comfortable room. Very comfortable bed. Good views of the city. Breakfast was really excellent. Hotel restaurant was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.
The room was a bit tired could have done with a bit of redecoration. Bedside light missing. Couldn't open windows properly. No information about how to contact Reception from the room & so had to go down two flights of stairs to ask a simple question. No instructions on how to work the aircon. One of purpose rooms had an unpleasant sewage-like odour.

The location and the breakfasts. The staff were all pleasant and efficient.
The service charges, I wasn't happy about paying these when the staff were doing no more than their normal jobs, but felt under pressure to agree to them. I WOULD LIKE A REFUND OF THESE, as they were not justified. The room was cold. There was a stain on the left curtain low down.

The location was in the centre of town, opposite the Waverley train station. On the main road, convenient but no noise. Breakfast was excellent.
