Breakfast was very good, liked the teapots too.
Bathroom was a bit small, especially the toilet seating for the toilet paper. Room 204. But clean and tidy, stayed for two nights and the towels were changed for each day and also the room was serviced each day.

Location was fabulous across from the train station and an easy walk to attractions and the Royal Mile. Rooms were really well done. Great bed, towels, very clean and the restaurant/lounge was great. I will recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Edinburgh.

Lovely staff and great location.
The smallest room in the world. We couldn’t even open the fridge or wardrobe door. This should have been made clear at time of booking or check in.

Excellent situation and warm helpful staff. We enjoyed inviting friends to the bar in the early evening which was a good experience.
Last time we stayed, the breakfast was poor but we had hopes for this time. Sadly it was really disappointing. Coffee and porridge were good but the savoury pancakes and bacon were dreadful ! (dry stale pancakes and tough streaky bacon) The bacon with that dish needs to be thin and crisp ! ) My husband chose a blueberry muffin hoping for good Scottish baking ! but it was the usual synthetic damp mass produced effort.
