In general, I like the style of the Hotel Indigo. The room size was spacious and the location was very good in the New Town and close to the Tram.
The room did not live up to being a premium room in a boutique hotel due to poor maintenance of the room.

Expensive for standard.
Rooms tired.
Breakfast on first day -refused request for scrambled egg, salmon & avocado. Told could only have
Salmon or avocado with eggs, not both!
Day 2 breakfast noticed another guest had both for their breakfast - a different server.

Location is good, away from the hustle and bustle. Room is comfortable and clean. Breakfast is fantastic. Love the modern with a touch of victorian decor breakfast area. Staff is friendly, helpful and attentive.

Our deluxe room was upgraded to a junior suite which for £319 a night was good.
However the room smelled of drains, this was mentioned to the hotel when we left. Breakfast was not included in the price which seemed a little tight

Good location. Decent sized rooms.
We stayed for a Birthday/Valentines Day night away. At 3am work started on the trams lines, right outside our room. They were using diggers, jackhammers, drills, trucks and other heavy machinery. We rang reception and they admitted knowing about the work prior to it happening. However they didn’t contact us about the tram work being carried out or try to move our room. The next morning reception staff told us that management would be in touch to discuss compensation but it’s been over 3 months now so doubt that will happen. Obviously Valentines Day is busy time for hotels and instead of doing the right thing and letting there guests know about the works they were greedy and took their money.

Fine location, but appalling treatment from personnel. I have requested an invoice from them 5 to 6 times now, which they refuse to give me. I know the invoice needs to come from them even though I booked through booking.com since I’ve stayed many many different places over the last year, but still they refuse. Absolutely unacceptable. Now I can’t get the money back for my stay due to this.

Quirky - friendly, our room was perfect. Right beside the exit xxx (further up the front of the building). We’ve loved it.

Location and proximity to train station and St James centre, playhouse theatre.
Room 403 is terrible. I would want to make sure that I don’t get it in future - it is too small, i.e. narrow for 2 people and a double bed.
