We got an upgraded room for a few dollars more. It was a comfortable room, great location right in the heart of Edinburgh. The breakfast was great, and the one dinner we had was good as well. I have no criticisms.
The shower was too big, it didn’t warm up.

The hotel is beautifully laid out. I loved the courtroom area. I will certainly return with my wife for a leisure break. 1 night wasn't enough.
Nothing to add. Yes, there was a fair bit of noise from the streets, but it was a Friday night and close to the students zone they were obviously enjoying being young.

Lovely spacious room for Edinburgh with a nice big bathroom (nice bath & shower). Bed was comfortable & the little extras like tea/ coffee were good quality.
Just the usual price of a Edinburgh hotel, it must be one of the most expensive city's to stay in the UK.

The food, drink, cigar bothy and staff were all very positive
The lack of sleep. Both nights I was woken by slamming doors and creaky floorboards which are both easy to resolve for such expensive accommodation.
