Breakfast was cold and not a nice place to eat. I booked a twin room and got a small double but it had a settee and they converted it to another bed not value for the money. They gave us a drink for the inconvenients (bottle of pop).
It was clean and in the centre of Edinburgh.

The breakfast was well cooked, would have liked more fruit options but the choice is okay.
Went for the Fringe and it was a great location for that yet in a quiet area.
The staff are friendly and helpful.

The location is great just under south bridge, but families with strollers or mobility issues need to understand that a sleep slog uphill is needed to reach the upper city.
Location as above. The rooms are small - the hotel Informs u in advance but you need to experience quite how small. The room cleaning leaves to be desired especially carpet. The breakfast is good on the hot items but lacks basic items eg cold cuts.

Nice, clean room. Amazing location
The extensible sofa wasn’t comfortable at all.

Not much
The room was very basic. The shower curtain was hanging on by half of the hooks and water was sprayed all over the floor. The radiator had more rust on it than paint. The room was £109 more expensive for comparable dates in this hotel on any other days for the rest of the year. I can only assume the price was loaded up because the festival and Tattoo were on in this month.
The "free" breakfast was well below par. The scrambled egg was very gritty, the bacon was cooked so hard that it was almost impossible to stick a fork in it, let alone cut it. Every item in the breakfast buffet was just luke warm. The milk dispenser was empty and despite two requests, not filled up (it may have been after lost the will to wait)

The quality of the bed mattress and billows were very very poor, it hurt my back. The cleaning of the room was not done properly.
