Receptionist was very polite and tried to be helpful.
We booked an accessible room for a wheelchair user, on arrival we were told there wasnt one available. We were offered a room downstairs the wheelchair would not go through the door or passed the bed. The toilet and bathroom were not accessible and the shower could not be used as there no facility to make it safe and it had a high step to get into and out of it. We were originally told we could go to another hotel - this would be impossible we had no car and relied on taxis and choose the hotel for its location. When we had been shown the room we were told we could stay but would not be charged. When i went to reception to sort this out i was then told we could have 10 percent off the bill or complimentary drinks and snacks. Then we were told there was a disabled room available for the second night of our stay, our bags would be moved to the new room if we left our bags packed the next morning. This was not convient as i had to pack and unpack several times in our 2 night stay. The accessible room we had for second night was ok but the shower (wet floor ) was very very dangerous. The floor dispite putting shower curtains as described flooded leaving 1-2 cm of water sitting on the floor stopping my husband from safely leaving the bathroom. Even when i tried to soak up the water using the bath towels it didnot drain away enough to make it safe to leave the bathroom. Having got to the room via a lift we were both very concerned about a fire as the room was on the 3rd floor next to the lift which you can not use in a fire. My husband can only walk a few steps with the use of crutches but would never had managed 3 flights of stairs. This was our first stay at a holiday inn and we were very disappointed.

Lovely quiet location. Breakfast choice was excellent. Staff nice and friendly
Very strange chainlock on the door of the door which unfortunately was unusable. This needs to be addressed in light of current issues with hotel security. Also the twin room we were allocated had a connecting door which we were not advised of

Excellent location in the old town without the noise
The room was tiny, air con didn’t work so the temperature was pretty horrible in the room…
We had an adjoining door in the the next room which wasn’t particularly comfortable, and both sides of the door could hear each other - our first night we were told off by our neighbours for talking about 11.30… so not appreciated.
Breakfast was pretty from - awful coffee (burnt tasting yet very watery) and no fresh fruit options…

The hotel is nice and very quiet place you dont hear any noise of cars .its in the central in d old town close to castle,shops,gardens etc no need to catch a bus.staff very friendly.The last thing theres no mini fridge in d room incase you have some medicine.
I like everything but the only think i dont like so much the breakfast because everyday the food never change and like ham and cheeses they dont put maybe if someone want to make a sandwich .
