The fact I checked in late at night and then once I got into bed the fire alarm in the hotel went off and everyone had to evacuate into the car park for 45 minutes at 01:30 am. Hotel wouldn’t offer and compensation for all the inconvenience caused . Had an early train to catch next morning so had a very bad night

Always choose this hotel because it is the only one that offers the shuttle bus from the airport and our flight always gets in too late to pick up a hire car.
However whilst the hotel is convenient, it has now become very expensive for 1 nights accommodation with breakfast.

the bus arrangements to get me to and from the airport worked well. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Evening meal. I ordered something at the bar then realised that I had left my purse in my room and came back down to pay for it. I sat where the barman had asked me to sit and then the food never came. He had not ordered it.
I had to order again ,by which time the bar and kitchen were busy. it took ages to for my single small dish to come and it was pretty disappointing - echoing the service.

Shower handle was broken
Lights were difficult to find at night after being switched off- I had to feel for the main light switch and after switching it on the room was too bright
How about having a footlights or an easier to find side light switch

The room was quite comfy and nice, with good blackout curtains.
It is expensive for what you get, especially if you are there because you need to be at the airport very early the next morning, so also not getting breakfast.
