Close to airport and bus/tram into the city. Really good location for royal highland show ground. Room was clean with everything you need, iron etc.
If you’re visiting the city then this hotel wouldn’t be for you as it’s probably a 35 min walk/tram into town. The hotel is very expensive for what it is. We payed £230 for one night, no breakfast then got charged £3.90 for a bottles of juice. Overpriced but what do you expect in Edinburgh.

The location. Room was clean and stocked with coffee. Check in easy and friendly and good at restaurant was good.
Our room had a queen size bed and a pullout couch which was pulled out and not put away after the last use but clean. We were not instructed on how to turn the power on in the room with the key card, but we figured it out. Food was good in the restaurant but a bit pricey. Make sure you take a shuttle from the airport to the hotel it was a little longer than we expected.

I received the above response to my initial review from the hotel. I tried to respond however they are using an email response system that does allow replies. I am therefore including the information here so that others will have a clear picture of the hotels early check in policy conflict.

Thanks for your response to my review. You mentioned that early check-in is based on "availability". Here's the thing! The desk clerk actually told us that our room was ready, however, if we wanted to check in early then I would have to pay an extra fee. Either we were given the incorrect information or your early check in policy doesn't match what you're saying.

Lucas at reception changed our room to one we preferred .Great can do attitude. All staff very welcoming and efficient. Comfy bed. Handy grab&go breakfast as we had an early flight in the morning.
Rather basic meal menu at night. Nightly rate was high when compared to similar hotel chains.

We flew to Paris for 3 nights before our stay here and they allowed us to store our extra luggage at a very, very inexpensive price. They were so very accommodating.
They forgot our order at dinner time so we waited a very long time

An easy and quick shuttle ride to the airport and a nice breakfast included.
Too expensive, soundproofing not adequate; could hear every word of the tv show in the room next door. Double bed was nice. Pull out couch was lumpy and unsupported for our child.

We were given a spacious, clean room and had a good experience from the moment we arrived. The hotel is close to the airport, just a short shuttle ride away.
The receptionist who checked us in was friendly, and happy to help with our questions.
She gave us useful advice without being asked: it would be easier to take a taxi directly to the car rental company than to return to the airport and use its shuttle. She booked the taxi for us, and it arrived exactly on time. Her help made the next stage of our journey much easier.

The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the airport. There is a lovely place to walk or jog close by. The staff understand the needs of travelers. It is a small but well run hotel.

We booked this room strictly because it had a shuttle pickup and drop off at the airport. The shuttle pickup at the airport was fantastic
The cost of this hotel room was ridiculously high for what it was. "Tickets" needed to be purchased at the reception area for the return shuttle to the airport which was not listed in the details on booking.com Breakfast was not great at all and coffee was terrible. For $300 US we would have expected much better.
