Very Good
Location was great, breakfast was ample and restaurant/bar looks posh
Parking was a bit of a pain, lifts kept breaking, room was too hot (air con was useless) and had to sleep with the window open so got woken up by the zoo animals at 6:30am

Disappointing
The bed was very comfortable. Housekeeper was lovely.
Booked room 260, apparently for disabled use which I did not realise at the time. The room smelt of urine as soon as the door was opened. Reception moved us to 403, stating it was a small room but we could move the next day. The room was OK but the bathroom was a joke. Seen bigger closets. Asked the next day if there was a price difference from what was booked and what we were in and was told no (shrugged shoulder given) "it is still a double room".
Meaness on coffee satchets and toilet rolls.

The venue was easy to get to and from town by bus.
Breakfast was uninspiring. Pastries very dry. Eggs left standing for too long and had to request fresh.
Bar area in the evening uncomfortable had to sit at a breakfast table and drinks extremely expensive two glasses of red wine £24.00 can buy two bottles for that amount. Music playing was dreadful.

The Holiday Inn was good value for money considering the price of accommodation during the Fringe Festival. The hotel is situated about 30min bus ride from the old town however the convience of having a bus stop just outside the hotel us super handy and we found it very easy to get around. Food at the restaurant was nice and well priced and the breakfast offered daily was great to get a good meal to start the day. The rooms are clean, however, can do with an upgrade. All the staff were very helpful and very polite to assist with any queries we had.
Access to the hotel is via stairs or a clinb up a rather long ramp if you're not arriving by car, which I found rather odd for such a big hotel.

The restaurant staff were excellent, most of the staff were lovely and helpful.
Our room was nt cleaned we were left without toilet rolls etc, this was soon resolved by reception.

Good location. Staff was friendly.
The room was not clean. The sofa had vomiting marks and the shower was not working at all. The bed had lots of hair left under the blanket.

The breakfast was fantastic.
Our stay was fantastic & was good value for money the only let down was the bathroom. There was cracked tiles in the shower loose tiles on the floor & no extractor in the bathroom. In general the bathroom just needs a bit of an update other than that had great time. ( Room 271 ).

The room was nice, The restraunt food was excellent, very tasty. Room service was good. Had decent facilities i.e. a gym and swimming pool. Was in a very good location right next to the Zoo and had a bus stop outside to get into town.

The hotel was perfect for transport as was serviced by very regular buses into Edinburgh. Breakfast was buffet and well stocked. Rooms comfortable and service friendly. Car Park convenient.
We were happy with everything as was to our expectations.
