The location was superb for our plans
The breakfast was terrible, food over cooked so a hash brown shattered instead of cut. The fruit was a mess, bananas and melons still with the skin/peel on. I've stayed in hotels abroad through my job and this was a very poor presentation.

Clean tidy paneramic view, easily accessible from the ringroad. All staff from the cleaners to the reception desk were friendly and accommodating.

Good location, next to the zoo. On bus route to the airport and the city centre. Helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Nice view from the restaurant. Good breakfast.
Room was too cold, had to ask for extra duvets as we couldn't make the radiator work. Noisy doors banging a lot. .

I am a Canadian currently living and working in Germany. I came to Edinburgh with my family to enjoy the city for four days. Hotel prices were quite high, but we chose this one based on its good ratings. Unfortunately, the main reason for our lower review is the cleanliness — the hotel was not nearly as clean as other places we’ve stayed in the UK. Moreover, the carpet was visibly dirty, and the overall room cleaning was poorly done. We have stayed at Holiday Inns in Canada and the U.S., and the hygiene and cleanliness there were noticeably better. We managed, but I was disappointed considering how much we paid for the stay.

Very outdated interior and exterior, only the lobby is refurbished. Hallways smell and are dirty. Rooms are old and in serious need of refurbishment. Showers are impossible to use. Pillow had disgusting mould like marks on it. Walls are paper thin. Too far from the city as well. Disappointed that this is an IHG hotel. Avoid
