The hotel is situated between the airport with the adjacent event site Royal Highland Grounds and the city center (old and new town). The Zoo is right next to the hotel, as is a bus stop to get around easily. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious. Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, it was quiet at night. Staff was kind. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

I liked the breakfast, the location to the inner city, and the airport.
Soundproofing is an issue. I could hear the upstairs guests stomping, walking, and speaking at an elevated level for most of the night.

Bed bugs. I don’t write bad reviews but I got bed bugs from this hotel which I understand can happen at any hotel but this one was very unhygenic and the rooms and shower were very musty. Bedding seemed clean. Worth it to go somewhere nicer for peace of mind. Woke up with 14 bites overnight and confirmed bedbugs with the pattern. So upset to end my trip this way.

We ate at the restaurant on our second night, a party of 9, and most of us were extremely disappointed in our meal. There were two shout outs - peach salad and veggie risotto.

Nothing. Better to stay at the airport or in Edinburgh. This is not convenient for anything, including the airport.
Not close to anything but the zoo. Restaurants and bars are at least a 20 minute walk. Hard to get in and out if you have a car. Better to stay at the airport, or in Edinburgh without a car. Room was super dated. No plugs or usb by the beds.

Restaurant staff was good and accommodating.
Our room was very far from the elevator, the key often did not open the room, we had to go to the front desk many times to have it reset.

We were visiting the zoo so it was the perfect location for us.
Although quite compact, the room had everything we needed.
It was quite noisy, it's a big hotel so you would expect a bit of noise but we were woken by really loud talking outside at around 3.30am. Similarly, the corridors are really long and there was quite a bit of shouting to people down the corridors quite early in the morning. I'm not sure if it was staff or guests but I guess we were just unlucky with this.

Nice big hotel, 20 min by bus from the city center. there is a small pool. We got lucky with a nice view. Breakfast is reasonably priced, with good options. 10 min walking you can find street with small local cafes

As soon as we entered the hotel - it was very pleasant, clean and well renovated. The staff at the front desk were very kind and efficient. We wish the breakfast was included but we were happy to find tea and coffee as well as milk in the room.
It would be nice to have an entry directly from the street - without having to walk around the building, up a hill.

Value for Money is very bad . Services not at the level . Cleanness of rooms was disaster .poor breakfast choices . Minimum requirement of the room is not available . Safe is not available !! Water is not available , bad connection WiFi …
