Excellently located. Pleasant staff. The male receptionist was exceptionally efficient and thoughtful, he checked correct Taxi driver was collecting my daughter, we really appreciated that.
The breakfast was really good, the quality and range of produce were very good indeed.
Waking up to Lions roar, love it.
So handy for going up Princess Street and the two train stations, Close to bus stops and Taxis.
Pool changing facilities a little bit cold, couldn’t find wet towel hamper, no where for women to dry and dress completely privately. Key would not turn in locker.
Hall light out in bedroom as you walk into room, so only light on entry was the bathroom light. More sockets near beds would be good.
The evening staff in restaurant though pleasant were disorganised, chatting amongst themselves and slow when quite a few customers were waiting to be served. I had to repeatedly walk over to get attention before we managed to get any food. These are mild complaints they by no means spoilt our stay.

We liked the hotel location for the xmas markets, and reasonably priced for the time of year.
Plenty of buses at regular intervals going to the city centre.
Discount for the zoo after 2pm when key card and room number presented
Corridors to the room were dingey the rooms outdated and stained carpets in our room.
Toilet roll holder rusty.
Prices for meals.

Location
Hard bed. Very noisy at night with noise from units for heating/air-conditioning outside our bedroom window and bright lights on flat roof. Asked for nice view, well flat roof and units not nice view. Definitely not worth the cost. Should have stayed at Premier Inn at least they guarantee a good night's sleep. Won't stay here again.

The rooms were pleasent and clean
There was a hair found in my cerial then I went fir 2 brown toast and the toaster got stuck in went for the staff she then went and got someone else then the whole toaster was smoking as the toast was proper burning that got sorted she came and got me to say it was fixed by this point they had taken all the brown bread in and I can't eat white so bit of a disaster at breakfast then 2nd night the person above me was banging and shouting all night right thru to 6am so 2nd night wasn't good either

Nice and clean hotel with a large downstairs breakfast / lounge area. Lovely breakfast and staff.

Very well decorated in the main communal areas. The staff were all lovely. The lady in the swimming pool on the 17th was so kind to offer me a time check as we had an appointment. Then the lady greeting us at breakfast arranged a wee cake for my son as it was hid birthday. For me its gestures like this that I will remember and make the hotel stand out from others.
Room was a bit dated. Back of the bathroom door of room 214 is badly scuffed. Double beds were a disappointment when most hotels offer king. Swimming pool area tiles and ceiling need cleaned or replaced.
