Fabulous breakfast , proper food and tasted great , (especially the mushrooms)...great selection....we had left the window open overnight and thought we had woke up in the jungle in the morning, our room backed into Edinburgh zoo car park, loved thd noise from the exotic birds .dont get that in many hotels in the UK !....all staff were very friendly and helpful.
Most of the hotel hallways were very shabby looking ,carpets thread bare and all room doors looked battered chipped and in need of a few coats of paint... Rooms were comfortable enough but also in need of refurbishment.

Great view from the window, the hotel lies on the hill, on the border of Edinburgh zoo and has great view to the hills outside the city.
Very small room - miniscule is a better description of the room. The sole presence of desk and chair made it almost impossible to go around the bed. The same goes for the bathroom - to open the door you need to squeeze in its corner. WiFi was working only in one spot of the room.

Location perfect as we were going to zoo Using the pool, used late at night and had to ourselves my son has ASN and the water really helps calm him down so perfect before bed time
Nothing i dont like but a fridhe in room would have been a bonus

Located close to Edinburgh Zoo for overnight outing with grandchildren. The room was fine not luxurious but fine. Good transport links into the centre of Edinburgh
