It had a wonderful view of the Pentland Hills, was roomy and modern. I needed a desk and this was the best desk I have ever enjoyed in a hotel - 4 powerpoints, a good lamp, a built in shelf and a coffee machine. I enjoyed the indoor pool and might have gone to classes if I was there during the week. There was also a sauna, a great change room, a library and the sale of water wear - goggles, swimmers and floats.
The bathroom door and window-sill had water damage, and the door did not close properly due to a problem with the hinges - it could be easily fixed. The windowsill is clearly used for drying wet clothes, so a rack or guidance in the room info might help. The bath was welcome but slippery, even so slipping when getting out was all my fault.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Although a couple of miles outside the center, there is a bus stop immediately in front of the hotel with frequent services to the main city center.

Everything about the hotel is fabulous. It is expensive for a couple of days however you get a breakfast buffet and access to all amenities. The leisure facilities are excellent as is the 24hr room service and open plan restaurant/bar which again you can use all day. Equally you get discount to local attractions for e.g. the zoo which saves quite a bit. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Ive stayed a few times in a similar room but I had the bigger bathroom thd first time I visited and it was so much better. The bathroom this time was very small, still practical and clean but I preferred the space in the first room.

Noisy fans on roof outside bedroom also fan in toilet went on all night despite closed door so could not sleep . Breakfast average but cold .
Noise at night . Spent a shocking night , told reception when we left but did not seem to be concerned

Cleanliness left much to be desired, hairs in several places in the bathroom on arrival and the room felt dated and dusty. The mattress seemed to lean to one side.
Swimming areas were not kept clean, appreciate it was busy but it felt like a public swimming pool not a hotel

Staff behind reception had great customer service
The room was shabby and the hotel wasn’t very clean. The pool area was disappointing and the jacuzzi wasn’t working. The bed was uncomfortable. I usually stay in a premier inn and was left feeling disappointed with the value and cleanliness of the hotel.
