Relatively close to the center, quiet. Large shower rooms.
Small rooms, average breakfast with limited selection. We had a persistent smell in the room that we couldn’t identify. Nothing stinking, just not pleasant. Very-very hard pillows.

Positives:
1. Good location, very close to transport links and a big retail park (Sainsbury’s, Nando’s, M&S etc)
2. Nice hot breakfast
3. Really comfy beds and pillows
4. Hotel room windows opened
5. Staff were generally very helpful
6. Beautiful views of the city if you’re on the top floors
Negatives:
1. Bathroom very cramped
2. Aircon didn’t work but was somehow still very noisy (liquid/bubbling sounds intermittently throughout our 5 day stay)
2. Toilet cistern also very noisy with water dripping sounds continuously
3. Bath and sink plugs were both faulty (we had to pull them out entirely for water to drain)
4. Hot water in the sink didn’t work until we’d run the hot water tap in the bath first
5. Quite overpriced for what you get

Spacious room with a large TV, excellent WiFi speed, plenty of parking on site at £10 per night for hotel guests, large walk-in power shower and fluffy large bath towels. The bed was very comfortable, plugs bedside, coffee tea facilities and even iron & iron board. Good lighting in the room too.
The location into the town centre was very convenient because the bus stop (no. 43 & 47) was right opposite the hotel (£2.40 each way) and took 7 minutes, plus petrol station near the entrance of the hotel to refill the car.
Breakfast was excellent, plenty of fresh bread and hot foods. Service was very good. Aircon in the room worked well.
Definitely stay here again as it's impossible to drive around Edinburgh.
Bedside tables were a little too small otherwise everything else was perfect.

Well positioned with bus stop outside the hotel that provided options for getting into the city. Staff were exceptionally nice and helpfull. Breakfast had lots of choices and well staffed. Great service.
Common areas were well used and it was starting to looked aged. Lifts were slow in the morning. Took me 10 mins to get a lift from.2nd floor.
