The location is really good. Probably one of the best places if you plan also to use the train or buses to go outside the city. For me even the city center is in a walk distance. The staff was very kind and helpful. Nice view from the window.
Room had almost nothing (only bed, shower, toilet, TV). No electric kettle and it was hard to even fill cold tap water into a bottle. The rooms are a little noisy (I could hear the washing machine running when going asleep).

Right by the tram stop which was very convenient
I’d give this hotel a 4/10 if I removed that the next was comfy.
I was faced with horrendous noise at 6am on a Saturday morning with lorry’s unloading outside of the hotel windows. The room was FREEZING and the heating was locked - so I can’t imagine what it’s like further into the winter. Only one lift worked which was a nightmare when moving luggage at peak times. The bathroom looked like it had barely had a clean.

Location was ok
The staff was not helpful or courteous by any means.
I called the reception for the air conditioning to be turned to cooling mode as it was very warm and stuffy in the small windowless rooms that make you feel really claustrophobic, said will change it soon. Called for the second time said will in 5 minutes in an unfriendly tone but never did.
Over all it was not value for money as it’s quite overpriced.

Very nice and friendly staff. Very clean.

The location was good.
The lobby and hall’s carpets were very dirty. I didn’t like to look at them at all. There were two elevators, one of them was out of order. It was nightmare, too many people in the elevators and lots of waiting time. Bed was queen but veryyy small! With a uncomfortable mattress. General cleaning was good but would be better. Air conditioner was not working well and room was cold.

Bed was clean and the location was good
Was surprised at how small the room was, I know the description said cosy but it was tiny. One plug socket isn’t enough. A tiny table which already had a phone on it left even less room. There was a window ledge but due to the condensation it was wet so you couldn’t put anything on it. Unless you put the air condition on heat mode the room and clothes felt cold and slightly damp.

Breakfast only had sausages and small amount of bacon from the hot buffet.

Cosy bedroom, extraordinary view from the room, excellent ventilation and natural lightning, environmemt was super clean, location of the hotel was perfect as not far from city centre and staff was very helpful, approachable and professional.
My room was on 3rd floor which I appreciated due to little traffic and less noisy. Lol!. I enjoyed my stay however, I had no tea facility in my ensuite therefore I missed my hot drink before bed. Although I was reassured I can get one at the reception but that did not cut it due to how tired I was from my touring experience throughout the day.
*Tea is an essential hosting service that must be offered to a person visiting Scotland, from England.
In all, I will be choosing Garner Hotel next time I visit Scotland and will hope to have a cuppa in me bedroom next time despite how cosy the room is.

Disappointing
The hotel location was great, quite central and allowed us to be close to everything.
When we arrived to the room we were shocked. The room was extremely small, only had 1 outlet, and it was extremely humid to the point that the wall was wet. Considering the bed was against the wall, the outside duvet was completely soaked on that side. I also want to add that due to the electric board it was quite noisy as well. The room is not fit for 2 people. But honestly considering how humid it gets, it’s not even fit for 1 person. If we consider that for 2 nights we payed almost 300€, it’s laughable.
