Great location and wonderful service by the staff! Everyone was very helpful and nice. It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to the Edinburgh Castle.

The room was very spacious for a solo type of accommodation. The location is pretty good for it is just a few steps away from the Haymarket tram station. Towels and linens were all fresh. Good hot shower! Very clean. Good looking Victorian style of interiors.
One downside is if you have a big luggage, I suggest you request to be assigned to a lower floor. I had a humongous luggage and I was assigned at the second floor. This hotel does not have an elevator.

we liked the breakfast, bed and the room size.
The room’s amenities were inadequate. The toiletries and heating were insufficient or non-functional; furthermore, the bath gel and tissues provided had clearly been used by a previous guest.

Lovely old building, lovely and warm, with a warm welcome as well.
Floors in the bedrooms were extremely slippery - not sure what polish they are using, but we were even slipping whilst wearing shoes!

Love the location very close to bus stop & train station. Many shops where you can buy daily stuff & food especially halal food nearby.
There is no lift. We had the top floor, nice view but lifting luggages to the top floor is killing our knees especially those who are older & have knees problem.

Beautiful, elegant and refined accommodation in a lovely part of Edinburgh. Lovely furnishings in a spacious room with gorgeous bay windows. Staff were attentive, friendly and extremely generous with their help, particularly with my elderly mother. A short walk to the tram and bus stop. Would book again for our next trip to Edinburgh.

Helpful and polite staff and always available to give advice. Left our luggage as we couldn't check in till 3 pm, but on our return, they had popped it in our room ready . Lovely big , well equipped room . Staff went in every day to make the beds and replenish amenities.
The only thing that let the room down was the shower pressure and the water didn't seem to drain away very fast, so the shower tray filled up .
