Clean, warm and comfortable room.
Just a suggestion, but the shower basin is quite slippery (e.g. especially for older residents), and perhaps a non-slip mat or fitting a handle to the wall would slightly reduce the slip risk?

We had a lovely stay at The Haymarket Hotel for 4 nights . The staff were exceptional, so friendly, and nothing too much trouble . Breakfast was excellent . The hotel is on a relatively quiet road and so conveniently placed for Haymarket station, the tram and bus . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and so did our dog. Would definitely stay again if we ever come back to Edinburgh

Perfect location, near the tram to get to/from the airport and 10 min on foot from Princes Street.
The staff was great, especially Michael at check-in who gave me a lot of information about the city.
Unfortunately my room wasn’t what I expected. Having booked in advance I thought I would get a room that was nice, instead the glass on my window was cracked (I don’t know if that’s the right word but you can see the picture) and the ceiling was also damaged. Daily housekeeping consisted only of changing the towels, making the bed and throwing away the rubbish… no vacuum and no cleaning the shower. I also paid almost 100£ per night so this isn’t what I was expecting.

Location is excellent, 2 minute walk to Haymarket station which means you can reach the city centre by bus/tram/train within 5 minutes, or on foot within 25/20 minutes.
The rooms are cosy and clean, excellent facilities, teas and coffees available in the room too.
One has to note that there were no lift facilities in the hotel so anyone with reduced mobility should request a lower level room, but other than that the hotel is wonderful and great value for money!

The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable.
Despite being near the main road it was very quiet, and interesting that it is a series of townhouses.
We were in a basement room and the stairs down were narrow and looked like they were being refurbished. Even the staff said that we should maybe not use these, but did not show us an alternative.

I liked that it was older style and it gives you an authenticity of what it’s like to stay in Edinburgh old style flats. The room was warm and the bathroom was modern. I liked the large super luxurious towels.
No lifts but the receptionist helped with the luggage.

Gorgeous building and room, the staff were fabulous and location was very convenient. Lovely Christmas decorations.
The mattress was quite uncomfortable and the bed was super creaky. The shower kept going a scalding as of when someone had flushed the toilet.
