I stayed here with my adult daughter and husband overnight. The location was great and close to Train and tram. The room was spacious and had lovely old world charm.
The mattresses were dreadful. Our Queen bed felt like it had cardboard on the top. It cracked and rippled. Very hard. My daughter said her bed was uncomfortable as well. Its a shame because everything else was great. The beds really let it down as we did not sleep well.

Close enough to the venue. After trading rooms from a 3rd floor walk up to a downstairs room (yes still stairs), the gardens were lovely to view although too cold to sit out.
The steps. Staff was in a different unit which required more steps to get to them... down the steps from my building, up the steps to their building.

Great location for Murrayfield
Hardly any sound proofing in the rooms. A lot of noise from other rooms, slamming doors etc.
Bed was really uncomfortable.
High windows meant the curtains were filthy at the top as they were probably too hard to reach.

The location - close to bus and tram for easy access to the airport for an early flight
Being at the top of the building and thus having to drag a suitcase downstairs early in the morning (I am female aged 70+).
Also being placed in a room with 3 single beds
. My bed was not comfortable. It was a shame as I stayed last year and had a room on the 1st floor with comfortable double bed.

Good hotel in an old building with no elevator. Close to a Haymarket tram station but you can easily walk to everywhere in the city. Shops and restaurants close by.

Room small but fine for single traveller. Little noisy as was on bottom floor.
