Everything I was really good all the hosts were really nice and kind and had conversations with everyone
Just the steps but by the end of the trip I got used to it. It doesn’t bother you

Location is fantastic!
It's up 4 flights of narrow stairs with no elevator which isn't advertised well so I wish that was clearer in the description.

Excellent location, great layout, lovely compact kitchen. Very helpful staff
On top floor , so.up many many stairs, but this was clarified and absolutely no issue to me, just be aware if you have mobility issues.

Nice location, there is everything needed in the hostel, you can leave your bags on the days of arrival and departure. Nice staff.
Beds are a bit hard, doors are really noisy. Towels are for rent

The location was great along with the beds and the storage!
Some sort of water fountain in the foyer would have been great - just as the kitchen was closed at night and I found myself unable to fill up my water bottle

Wonderful
The friendly and helpful staff. The cleanliness of the facilities. The convenience of the location and being a few minutes from all the tourist attractions. Exceptional value and not overpriced.
The lack of elevators. It would have really helped, considering some travellers have heavy luggage.

Wonderful
It's within a very convenient walking distance of Edinburgh Waverley Station. The price is affordable, the restroom is clean, and the bedroom is well-ventilated. Also a lovely kitchen that is fully furnished, with free tea, coffee, and eggs available for guests to prepare themselves. Your comfort will depend on your roommates, but everyone was polite when I stayed there.
There are some stairs to get upstairs, but it's not a big deal.

Pleasant
Location was great. Cleanliness is good.
They pack the 3 level bunks into the room. There's maybe a meter of space between the mattress and the roof and if there is someone snoring or making noise in the night/morning, it feels like it's right next to your face, which it probably is.

Exceptional
Second hostel I’ve stayed at in Edinburgh, by far one of the cleanest bathrooms and rooms I’ve ever experienced while staying at a hostel period. The staff was incredibly friendly, thank you Hellen for a warm welcome and great recommendations. Would absolutely stay again and recommend. Unfortunately only the top bunk was available for me, but they offered to switch me the next morning which I thought was incredibly kind. Not the most active hostel I’ve been at (at least while I was there for the three days) but they definitely have activities and recommendations you can join in. Luggage storage is free before or after checking in/out, and you are allowed to use the rest of the hostel facilities even if you checked out of your room for the day.
Flights of stairs could be a pain if you have a large suitcase, but if you have a backpack like me, it’s like going up any other flight of stairs that Scotland is riddled with! It’s the Scotland experience!

Very Good
Very convenient location near Waverley, helpful and communicative staff. It was useful to be able to store luggage before and after check-in/out.
(For 12-bed dorm:) If you are on the taller side, you won't be able to sit up fully in bed. Privacy/sound insulation is minimal but to be expected given the dormitory-type setup.

Disappointing
It was a beautiful and clean hostel. Central location. The staff were lovely.
Unfortunately, despite what was stated on the accommodation listing, late check-ins were still allowed if another guest let them in. Two girls entered the dorm shortly after midnight and were talking loudly, making noise, and turning the lights on and off until around 3am. As I only stayed for one night, the experience was unfortunately ruined by the lack of sleep.
