No ice available. Restaurant for breakfast was across and down the street. (Not convenient)

It’s a lovely hotel with an unassuming entrance. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful (shout out to Robert). The location is fantastic with Edinburgh Castle just up the hill. Lots of eateries around and free parking from 6.30pm to 8.30am. Breakfast was in a cafe across the road but it was a really nice place with friendly staff.
Some people might find having breakfast in a cafe across the road a little inconvenient but it wasn’t a problem for us.

Great location.
Good sized room for central Edinburgh.
Easy walking distance to many sites and areas of interest.
Decent value for money in that part of old Edinburgh.
Nothing apart from the room outside view (to the back), but very quiet.

Very clean, easy to find, great location.
Long wait times for the elevator, it was very creaky and felt like it was going to stop randomly.

Room was bigger than I expected for a single. Shower was excellent
There was a fan or air conditioning system outside (my window looked out onto another building). This was very noisy but continuous so ok if you can zone out noises and sleep. I did have a bit of a fitful nights sleep though.
