When I checked in the male clerk took time to explain where Fraser Suites was on map of Edinburgh and how best to find places downtown.
Excited to see my room had a microwave and toaster oven (clerk had mistakenly called it a microwave.)
The way the front desk helped answer questions such as how far to Rosslyn Chapel. They called taxi for me. They printed an email I forwarded them with more detailed itinerary info from your guide.
The help received on annoying steps to my room.
VERY heavy door to my room 207. Only one window and it was frosted white so I couldn’t see out.
The fact I had about 5 steps to get luggage down and up.
The way my room was serviced sooo late (2:30) by housekeeping. On second day I forgot to remind housekeeper I needed more toliet paper and when I ran out I used Kleenex. On both days housekeeper came they never used a broom or vacuum.
Wish there was a larger garbage can.

Location and great service from staff. And they had laundry facilities, which was very useful for me as I had been travelling for about 2 weeks.

The location and spacious room
The breakfast room was cold for two days but they fixed the problem later on. The hairdryer was not working properly. The duvet was stained I asked them to change it. I think that It was housekeeping’s fault because stained duvet shouldn’t be used in a hotel

The location was the best we could have hoped for. Spectacular views with fully livable space.
Full kitchen and tasty treats.
I didn't like taking the separate stairs to the top floor with all of our luggage. We also found a small mouse. Lighting was a challenge for makeup and there is no outlet in the bathroom to do my hair.

Beautiful room, very comfy, great views over Edinburgh. Included buffet breakfast OK. Great check-in although ID was required even for UK citizens. Luckily, we were carrying it. Excellent location, a few metres from the Royal Mile.
The shower is over the bath. It is a VERY large stride so my wife was unable to take a shower. Some form of step would be useful.

This was a perfect location in Old Town. It was off the main street, so avoided heavy foot traffic, but easily accessible to everything.
Since it is just off the main street it was a bit noisy in the evenings, but really that is to be expected on a weekend in the city.

Easy to access from the Royal Mile. Clean. Nice entrance. Good continental breakfast.
Had to reconfirm a lot of details on arrival. Asked for £50 refundable deposit that was not informed of in the booking. Website mentions cooked breakfast being an option but it was not. Was not a deal breaker but the weather was very cold when we were there and hot options, or freshly made eggs would have been great.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff were friendly and helpful, special thanks to Dominic at reception for being kind and accomodating! The location is fantastic and the room had a very spacious shower and comfortable bed.
