Location was nice next to ocean terminal and few minutes walk from tram stop
I had booked double bed but instead was given a twin bed. Staff explained that its fully booked due ro festival and concert so they couldn’t do anything about it and maybe the price was high because of the same.

We were driving from London and we could approach the hotel easily without going into the city and there was parking. Not free...20 and we were told 10 pounds but good to be able to park. There was a tram across the street that took us into the city, quickly and easily. Our room was small but that was expected. Breakfast was good and had plenty of options. . Staff were great.
Room size was very small and being able to get more fresh air would be good.

Very Poor
This was a truly awful yet very expensive experience. At first when we checked in, the receptionist asked for payment - I informed that it was paid through booking already. This made the receptionist somewhat unhappy, pulling upset faces, first saying that she shall check this and then asking me why the room was paid if I didn't have to pay until the arrival. But it only gets better. We got a room on the ground floor. The corridor carpet looked like it was not vacuumed for at least a week. Entered the room - which smelled literally like old socks. The AC on, was making unbearable noise, so I switched it off but that did not help as even off, it would make really awkward noise constantly. The room was clean and that's the only good part of this stay. The bathroom door would not close until locked as the door was so crooked. The handle was barely hanging there. The bathroom really has seen better times, as you can tell from pictures. But the cherry on the top was clogged shower drain which made me stand in water up untill my ankles while showering. In the morning, after whole night with noisy AC (that was off!) I went to complain and get another room. I was told that there is no rooms available and I can put my luggage in storage room and maybe they will find the room later but not grated. So I refused and asked what's my options and I was advised that I CAN CHECK OUT. I was really upset, we came back to the room, they sent someone to fix the AC - but did not do anything, all they done was fix the shower. The last thing I want to mention is the breakfast - which are really poor and only edible thing there are croissants.

The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was good. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was very good better than expected. Great location lots of things around and only a short tram to Edinburgh centre.
The only fault was the bathroom door was tight and difficult to open it's one of those doors that is dual purpose the bathroom door or cubicle door to the toilet so it made a loud bag when trying to open or close. The only other issue was before getting there I received a message about breakfast saying the cooked part was in a roll so I was disappointed before getting there I was hoping for a buffet breakfast but when you get there it was buffet breakfast and you could have a roll as well, so breakfast was better than expected. Got to go early though or you will be queuing for a while.
